The best realistic game in which you raise family is the Sims games. But, that requires you to purchase and download.

The best game I have found online for you to play anytime without spending money is a game called Babydow.com.

You raise a baby, but seeds to plant in your garden so you can raise more babies as they blossom. You feed, change, bathe, walk, read to, cuddle, put down to bed, but down to naps, clothe, play, and increase growth development on this website.

No purchase is necessary to play, although, there are a few features that you have to unlock with passes, which are fairly expensive, averaging around 3 $ per pass.

I personally do not buy passes and enjoy the game very much. The only downside of using no passes is that you cannot purchase a item that makes the 'night' over. Without them, you can play with your baby about 10 minutes every day, unless you go very slowly. Otherwise, you have to wait till morning to play more.

You can also build nurserys, which enabled you to care for other peoples' babies.
