Alpha? If you're in Wood Style, he's pathetic. You have to break through his 'core,' so use multi-hitting chips, then use something strong. Wood Style's Charge Shot is incredibly strong against him. If you've also got the Reflect NaviCust part (from levelling Sheild Style up all the way), Bass is a pushover, too. Just reflect all his attacks (except for Earth Break) and use more strong chips once his Aura is down.
