What is a good cheap laptop for modding games and playing them

Cheap? I dare say none exist. But if you go to your local electronics store, I'm sure you can find an acceptable one for near $1000. I highly recommend just shipping in parts for a desktop and building it yourself. Much cheaper, much more fruitful.
