Who is the best nation in medieval 2 total war

I think that France is the best faction because it has the strongest cavalry out of every faction and they have a good amount of states. Also, if you can make a few strong alliances (try Spain, the Moors and I am close to Milan), then build up your army and start conquering Portugal and the close Rebel towns.
