How do you enter the level sky deck from sonic adventure in free play

Head to the Egg Carrier and once your there go towards the pool room (it's not far) and look behind you to find another door which leads to the Captain's Room(or eggman) stand on the big chair to make it move then step on the switch then leave the room and go into the egg carrier using the elevator thing nearby then use the monorail to reach the area where the sky deck level is now go inside beat the level and your good to go.
