How do you get a mini red Crowdstar cat in happy pets

Sorry, no definitive answer here, just hearsay.
I'd like to know too, as my friend got one, apparently for logging in after not going on for months, but another friend - who hadn't logged in since they quit a while back and was going to send it over - didn't get the link at all...
Not overly impressed if this is the case, why reward people for leaving for long periods of time?
