How do video games get made
Bringing the explanation to the simplest terms. Making a video game takes knowledge of computer languages like C++, high-level math skills, financial resources (personal money), software applications, man-hours, software engineering skills, marketing skills, as when the game is made it doesn't pop out on the shelf. For example, titles like Call Of Duty take years on top of years of hours by hundreds of people, to release 1 modern title. The smaller, perhaps 2D, small 3D titles of today, made by one, or a small group of people, are called Indie Games. Indie Games are usually cheaper because they are known to not have the resources of full modern experience. Many Indies fail. it takes years of sitting & programming without pay, & if one person quits, the project is usually ruined. On the positive side, if an Indie maker plays cards right, not just makes a game, but also sells it. Then, great Indies like the Minecraft bring riches beyond belief.
