Is second life a free download

Second Life is free to download, but may you have to buy Land or Linden Dollars, depending on what you want to do.. Land gives you an area to create more things, and Linden Dollars let you buy more things. You can download the game without buying them though. There are also freebies, both in stores like Freebie Galaxy and Freebie Dungeon and in regular stores that offer group gifts. Not all stores offer group gifts or freebies, though.
