Is there anyway to play Dragon Age Origins Awakening without the first game

Dragon Age: Awakening is an expansion campaign to Dragon Age: Origins. The data on the disk is just the info needed for the new campaign, however it cannot be used without the game 'framework' provided when you installed Dragon Age Origins.
