On horsez petz 2 how do you get your foals confidence up

You caress him by touching the foal icon, play games and give him sweets. But not too much or he could fall sick.
How to caress: Touch the icon with the foal and hand on it. Pet the foal until it shows the carrot icon on the right bottom side and touch it. Tap your foals nose many times until it eats it.
