On red dead redemption the game where is a car and can you drive it

there isn't any cars. the game is set in the west, many years ago. its horse or walking im afraid.
There are cars in this game which is set in 1911 which is when world war 1 was taking place. You see there are certain missions where you can RIDE in a car but you cannot drive it. If you look hard enough is Black Water you will find a 1908 Ford Buggy but it is broken and just for show. I wish we could drive motorcars in the game but I suppose not.
