How do you use your monsters to fend off attacking monsters in backyard monsters

After the newest upgrade of Backyard monsters, you can now use a monster bunker to attack other monsters with your own monsters, using anything other than the D.A.V.E is really just annoying for the person attacking you as they will have to stop in the middle of your yard while being attack by sniper towers ect... loading up your monster bunker with pokies is also a good idea if you have not yet unlocked the D.A.V.E
