Will Star Wars knights of the old republic 2 work on a windows 7 computer

I've played it for a while, until about midway through the game, it freezes on the loading screens, so, no, really.

Depends on what PC you have. For example Dell or Acer. I have Acer and it works great if it doesn't work for you try to re-install it and look for patches on Google, Bing, or Yahoo.
