What is Dr. eggmans best robot

In the 1990's Dr Robotnik's (Eggman) best robotic invention was Metal Sonic, believed to be the key to destroying the world (as mentioned in SONIC HEROES).

Later on he builds an extremely powerful robot in in the E Series called E-123 Omega which is a very powerful boss in Sonic Heroes.
