Are the Elves in Battle for Middle Earth II the best faction
I personally do not think so. They easily have the best archers, and when they are equiped with silverthorn arrows, they can defeat most non-hero enemies on the game. However that takes time and a lot of resources to get. Meanwhile, the elves do not really have any dominating heroes like the men (gandalf and aragorn), mordor(Fellbeasts and Witch King), and the goblins (Shelob and Drogoth) do. Legolas is decent, but throw him against the enemy and he dies to quickly. Also, the elves swordsmen and pikemen are awful. Against Isengard, if the computer is playing both teams and they are both on the same level, Isengard will always win because their wargs can't be stopped by the elves. These are several reasons why I don't think the elves are the best faction on Battle for Middle Earth II.

My Faction rankings:
  1. Men (best heores, awesome swordsmen, awesome pikemen, they have rangers and rohirrim, and they have decent power-ups)
  2. Mordor (close choice between them and Isengard, but I chose Mordor for number 2 because of the variety of units you can use; like Mumakil, Trolls, Corsairs, cool siege units, and the Easterlings.)
  3. Isengard (when Isengards pikemen and swordsmen are equpped with forged blades and heavy armor, I have not yet seen anything that can stop them.)
  4. Elves (have awsome archers. Also gotta love the ents and eagles.)
  5. Goblins (have destructive half-trolls, can climb over walls, and have Shelob and Drogoth)
  6. Dwarves (have Gimli, man of Dale, mithril armor, and the mines are kinda cool)
