What do you do after you have finished the codex puzzle in assassins creed 2

I haven't finished it yet, still need 3 more but I believe it is supposed to help you fulfill the prophecy or stop it? Something along those lines. From what I've stablished thus far, it is a map of sorts when viewed in Eagle Vision. May be a guide?
