What happens at the end of the dinosaur king series

Rex tries to go back to his own time with his parents and max and Zoe are teleported out the ship to Max's front yard their waving good bye [dont know why no one can see them] and the the time machine explodes with Dr.z and the other 3,Rex and his parents then the series ends.
