What does the 12212012 mean in the video game assassins creed
More accurately, it should read 21122012, but the format was written to account for its translation by the Aztecs. Basically, it is a date reading 21/12/2012, December 12, 2012 on the Aztec stone calander, which if you did any kind of internet search, will display the many concerns of a projected premonition to, by the accounts of the Aztecs, the day when the world reaches the end of a cycle.

Now, many people believe that this is the end of the world and many of those beliefs lead to an apparent heavenly body hurtling towards Earth, quite possibly destroying it or crippling it in its wake. This is the Niburu theory, or more so, the Babylonians refer it to being the return of the Nefelim despite the fact the Babs were a much older race than the Aztecs. The Nefelim are, by who's account I don't know, our suppoosed alien forefathers who originally planted us here.

There are dozens of theorem that tell us of how we are all going to die on December 12, 2012. It has become so believed lately because the date is creeping up on us very quickly and the knowledge of this date has supposed to have been around for over 12,000 years, only each of the main races (Sumerian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Mayan, etc) all chose to either dismiss it or translate it into some cockamamy prophecy of their own choosing.

Being the agnostic that I am, I will only believe where there is a tangeble or logical piece of scientific proof and not a flimsy piece of paper with the ramblings of an ancient kook who screwed up the original meaning of some probably ill-translated writing to begin with.

But, by saying agnostic, I don't mean to add a dark mark on religion. People believe what they want. I can only sit back and sadly watch them all lose it... or even better, be alive during this great time in Earth's history and witness a spectacular event before my end of what very few worlds probably even glimpse before it happens. Now, there's a religious experience that even the appearance of God himslef/herself/itself couldn't upstage.

More to the point, the usage of this date in ASII shows another thing the people of the world should be concerned about along with all other relative historical points to what was assumed to be just a piece of forbidden fruit. If you don't know what I mean, I suggest you start from AC and play every game to the end.
