Who is the main character of the Castlevania games

Although there is no consistent main character through all of the games, they are generallly members or friends of the Belmont family; the "good" human-vampire hybrid Alucard and the human Simon Belmont both appear in many games, along with Dracula (the antagonist) and Death (one of his subordinates), but no character is in every game.
