Legendary Pokémon

Xerneas and Yveltal

These Pokémon are specific to Pokémon X (Xerneas) and Pokémon Y (Yveltal).   You’ll find these legendary Pokémon as you play through the main part of the game. Team Flare is using them for their evil deeds. Eventually, you stop Team Flare and you’ll have the chance to catch Xerneas or Yveltal depending on which version of the game you have.  Xerneas is a Fairy type and Yveltal is a Dark/Flying type. They are both level 50, so they can be difficult to capture.

Zygarde

Zygarde is in both versions of this Pokémon. Before you can find it, you must defeat the Elite Four. Then, Zygarde will appear in Terminus Cave on the final level. This is a Dragon/Ground type Pokémon, and it’s level 70. You may want to consider using a Master Ball here, and if not, bring plenty of Ultra Balls.

Mewtwo

This legendary Pokémon is found after you defeat the Elite Four. You can find Mewtwo in the Pokémon Village. It’ll be waiting inside a cave that was previous locked. Mewtwo is a psychic level 70 Pokémon, so this is another instance where you can consider your Master Ball.

Articuno, Zapdos, & Moltres

The three classic legendary Pokémon can be found in Pokémon X & Pokémon Y. You can only get one though, and it will be based on the starter Pokémon you chose. Articuno will roam the world if you pick Chespin, Zapdos if you pick Fennekin, and Moltres if you pick Froakie. These Pokémon will start to roam the world randomly after you defeat the Elite Four, and they’ll escape your battle immediately at first. The Pokédex will let you know where they flee to. Finally, they will flee to the Sea Spirit’s Den where you can fight them and capture them. They are all level 70. Articuno is Ice/Flying, Zapdos is Electric/Flying, and Moltres is Fire/Flying.

The Elite Four

Malva

The first battle in the Elite Four fight is against Malva, who has Fire-type Pokémon. Be prepared to fight a level 63 Fire/Normal type Pyroar, a level 63 Fire-type Torkoal, a level 63 Ghost/Fire type Chandelure, and a level 65 Fire/Flying type Talonflame.

Wikstrom

After defeating Malva, you can choose the order you battle the remaining opponents in. If you go to the top left first, the second battle will be against the Steel-type lover Wikstrom. He battles with a level 63 Steel/Fairy type Klefki, a level 63 Rock/Steel type Probopass, a level 63 Bug/Steel Scizor, and a level 65 Steel/Ghost Aegislash.

Drasna

The bottom left path takes you to Drasna, who fights with Dragon Pokémon. Her Pokemon include a level 63 Poison/Dragon type Dragalge, a level 63 Dragon/Flying type Altaria, a level 63 Dragon-type Druddigon, and a level 65 Flying/Dragon type Noivern.

Siebold

Siebold is on the bottom-right path. He fights with Water-type Pokémon. You’ll have to battle a level 63 Water-type Clawitzer, a level 63 Water/Psychic type Starmie, a level 63 Water/Flying type Gyarados, and a level 65 Rock/Water type Barbaracle.

Diantha

The Elite Four Champion, Diantha, fights with 6 Pokémon. Be prepared for a level 64 Fighting/Flying type Hawlucha, a level 65 Rock/Dragon type Tyrantrum, a level 65 Rock/Ice Aurorus, a level 65 Ghost/Grass type Gourgeist, a level 66 Dragon-type Goodra, and finally, a level 68 Psychic/Fairy Gardevoir. Gardevoir will always be the last Pokémon, and it will Mega Evolve into Gardevoirite during the battle.
