GTA Online – How to Rank Up Fast (Without Glitches & Exploits)

In GTA Online, gaining ranks and leveling up fast gets you those higher level unlocks a lot sooner.

There are a lot of ways to get RP to gain ranks though, so what are the best ways to rank up fast?

This guide will tell you the best bang for your buck when it comes to gaining RP.

Rank Up Fast With Races!

Racing is hands down the fastest way to get RP in the game (currently), especially if you’ve modded a few cars in the most popular categories.

I will admit that initially, it’s fairly tough to win races. Even without winning races however, there is still a fair amount of RP to be had if you can at least finish in the top half most of the time.

First, you’ll want to check out my list of the best cars in each class for racing, which will help you get more wins so you can modify cars and get more RP per race.

Note that the RP gained from winning is set by the race, not by the number of laps you do in the race. Considering this, it’s generally best to run single lap races on short tracks like Criminal Records if you’re just farming RP on your own. You can get around 1200 RP in a little over a minute by yourself, depending on the time you take between races. Doing this race with a friend or two is a fast way to get your number of wins up very quickly as well.

If you’re doing public races with others however, I generally prefer point to point races like The Commute, because few people find single lap Criminal Records races interesting enough to keep running over and over.

Mod Cars to Increase Wins and RP

Once you have a few wins under your belt, start to mod your favorite cars for race purposes. The first big milestone is 20 wins, which unlocks the Turbo mod in all land vehicles, which is a huge boost to acceleration.

In my opinion, the best cars to mod at first are Sports, Motorcycles, and Super cars, since these seem to be the most widely used in public races. It’s always good to have some modded cars in other categories though, especially Muscle, SUV, and Compact, since those seem to be the main alternate categories.

Essentially your goal is to have a good modded car in each of the main classes of car, that way you at least have a chance to win no matter what category is picked, assuming that custom vehicles are turned on (which they usually are).

The more races you can win, the more RP you’ll get, plain and simple.

Is That All?

Unfortunately, it is for right now. There really isn’t anything that can come close to the amount of RP you can get from racing.

Hopefully Rockstar will bump up the RP from Missions and other jobs like Deathmatch to where they are at least comparable, but for now, racing is where it’s at for gaining a lot of RP and ranking up fast!
