CoD: Advanced Warfare

In Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, like every other CoD game, there are a lot of weapons to choose from.

The best types of weapons for multiplayer can change in every single game, based on how much damage is needed to kill another player, and if there are tighter spaces and more closed quarters fighting, etc.

In Advanced Warfare, the Assault Rifles are dominating most match types primarily because of the fact that there is a lot more mobility in the game, which causes less close quarters fights, and a lot less camping. Because of this, Assault Rifles simply meet the demands of this game a lot better in general than the other weapon types.

This isn’t to say that you can rock just as well or better on some maps with an SMG, but in general Assault Rifles have a nice advantage in a lot of situations.

The Best Assault Rifles for Multiplayer

BAL 27

This is one of my favorite Assault Rifles primarily because it’s one of the first Assault Rifles you have access to, so you’ll probably spend a lot of time with it. It’s a really good all around weapon as well with high damage and best in class fire rate.

The BAL 27 has a low recoil rate when you use it with quick bursts. The flavor text says that the fire rate increases over time, so you’ll primarily want to use this gun in bursts since the higher fire rate will also greatly increase the recoil.

This really is a “jack of all trades” weapon in my opinion, good in a lot of different scenarios. It’s most effective in short to medium range, so you may want to swap it out on those maps with really long lanes of fire however.

HBRa3

The HBRa3 is really the Beast (yes, the Beast, and the best..) of all Assault Rifles to a whole lot of people, and I think it’s primarily because of the higher rate of fire for the first three bullets. The first three bullets literally come out about as fast as an SMG.

This rifle also has best in class handling, allowing you to draw it quicker, and allowing you to aim down sights quicker (I believe?)

If you’re an experienced CoD player with higher than average accuracy on your shots, this will probably be your go-to weapon for a lot of situations. If you can land those first three shots every single time, you’re going to be a player to contend with in most matches.

If you’re not an experienced player and you’re more of a “spray and pray” kind of person, you may want to wait a while before you put a lot of time into the HBRa3. At a minimum you’ll probably want to add the Foregrip and Stock attachments if you don’t have the best accuracy, which will keep the recoil down and keep you more mobile while shooting.
