Transportation is one of the biggest aspects of Grand Theft Auto V, and there are plenty of different ways to get around. In the new underwater world, the best way to get around is with the submarine. With these underwater vehicles, you can complete special missions by finding scattered submarine parts under the sea.
To start finding submarine parts, you must complete the mission "The Merryweather Heist" and purchase the Sonar Collection Dock. After this, go to the dock as Michael and talk to Abigail. This will start a special mission that allows you to find submarine parts. You can use the radar on the boat to find the pieces, but we’ve also got a guide to help you find all 30 pieces to complete the mission!
Off of Paleto Bay, find a wrecked plane with the part nearby.
In the same area, find a part by the bottom level of the wrecked airplane.
The last piece in the Paleto Bay area is near the engine of the airplane.
Go to the coast that juts out near Fort Zancudo. There are sharks in this area, so be careful and watch out for them. This part is located at a plane wreckage in the shallow water, by the engine.
In the same area, find this piece in the cargo area.
Find this next submarine piece by the destroyed wing of the airplane.
Go behind the front part of the wrecked airplane to find the next part in this area.
This part is also in the front area of the aircraft.
After getting the above piece, go a bit south to find a shipwreck. The next piece is behind the ship’s wheelhouse.
From the above piece, go south and look for this piece in open waters.
This piece is in the water under the bridge at Port of Los Santos.
From the above piece, go east into the river that runs up next to East Los Santos. Near the river mouth, in a shallower area, find this part near a broken pulley.
Head north from the previous part and find this part near a rusty structure in shallow waters.
Head to the north of Terminal. Find this part in the shallower water near wooden structures.
Look for this part in the same area, on the side of the Ocean Motion ship. It’s near a rusty structure.
Go to the front of the Ocean Motion ship and find this part near a big rock.
Head a bit south to the Daisy-Lee ship. This piece is under the damaged dock.
From the Daisy-Lee ship, head east and find a destroyed plane. This part is near the tail.
This part is in the same location as the above piece, near the tail.
The next submarine piece is near one of the wingtips on the airplane.
From the above area, go southwest until you are south of the Port of Los Santos. Find a drainpipe in this area. The piece is at one of the pipe’s openings.
After getting the above piece, go west and find this part under a rock arch.
Go northwest to the area in between the docks and some roads. Find the dock’s broken boards to collect the part.
Head west until you are next to the Los Santos International Airport, sort of along the middle point that juts out. Find an old rusty structure with the part nearby.
Go to the coast that is directly east of the National Office of Security Enforcement. Find a shipwreck nearby with a part inside a hole on the side.
Find the next piece to the north a bit, in the cargo area behind some crates.
Go north from the above piece and find the next piece inside a sunken shipping container.
Go into the ship’s wheelhouse and get the next submarine piece under the stairs.
The last pieces are off the west coast at Mount Gordo. This area has many sharks. Find a sunken plane in the area. This piece is at the front of it.
In the same area, go north a little and look for the piece near a large boulder.
