General Tips

You can use your fast travel to force animals and ocean dwellers to re-spawn. When hunting, be aware that aggressive predators like the jaguars and crocodiles. Passive animals like deer and rabbits will run away if they hear you. You can sneak up on them using stalking zones or high branches.

Harpooning is much different than hunting. You can only start harpooning after Sequence 3. When you start harpooning, you’ll have a limited number of harpoons. These harpoons will not be reloaded in a battle with an aquatic animal. As you upgrade the Jackdaw, more will become available. You will also need to upgrade your rowboat in order to have a chance to take down the big aquatic prey. Remember that aggressive animals like bull sharks and great white sharks will attack your rowboat repeatedly, so it has to be sturdy.
