The Last of Us: Left Behind – Optional Conversations Guide

Like the base game, the new DLC The Last of Us: Left Behind features collectibles and special events. If you want to get all the story and background possible, hunt out optional conversations. These are between Ellie and Riley. Viewing all of the optional conversations gets you the bronze BFFs trophy. Having trouble finding them all? Use our guide.

Chapter 2

Optional Conversation 1 

After you get across a narrow ledge into a new room, follow Riley and look at the Firefly logo painted on the wall.

Optional Conversation 2

After you get into the mall and go down the escalator, turn right and go towards the poster showing a Hawaii vacation.

Optional Conversation 3

Past the escalators, look for an advertisement for squirt guns.

Optional Conversation 4

After you go down another escalator, talk to Riley next to the yellow tent.

Optional Conversation 5

Go inside the yellow tent and look at the papers on the cabinet towards the back.

Optional Conversation 6

Go back outside from the yellow tent and look for a bench with a saddle on it.

Optional Conversation 7

Inside the Spooky Town store, put on the Wolf Mask. Then go to the back corner and look for a jar of eyeballs.

Optional Conversation 8

After Riley puts on the Dracula mask in the Spooky Town store, follow her to the corner.

Optional Conversation 9

Go to the central aisle in Spooky Town and put on the Green Witch mask. Talk to Riley.

Optional Conversation 10

Still in Spooky Town, find the Triple Phoenix mask in the aisle by the exit door.

Optional Conversation 11

Go to the corner and find the Skeleseer skull. Interact with it 8 times to go through all the different dialogue options.

Chapter 4

Optional Conversation 12

Go to the carousel and interact with one of the horses. 

Optional Conversation 13

After you ride the carousel and Riley gives you a gift, go through each joke until Ellie puts the book away. There are more than 20 to tell. Don’t move too much, or you will be unable to finish the optional conversation.

Optional Conversation 14

Go down the steps in the park and find the Sharesnap photo booth. This is the last optional conversation.
