The latest entry in the very successful Call of Duty franchise has plenty of similar gameplay mechanics to other CoD games. However, if Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is your first foray into the series, or if you just want some initial tips to master the game, we're here to help. Check out some of the best cheats, tips, and tricks for this fast-paced first-person shooter, whether you are enjoying the single player campaign or multiplayer action.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Be Speedy

This Call of Duty entry requires you to be fast. There are a lot of different speed boosts to use, and you'll need to become familiar with them in order to be successful, whether it's single player or multiplayer. Speed is an element you'll need to experiment with and understand completely in order to really get into this CoD game.

Boost Dash

After you jump or fall down, you can use the boost dash skill. This skill is useful because it lets you close in on an enemy super quickly. This skill can also help you reach your destination quicker if you're in a hurry.

Boost Slam

When you are high up in the air, you are pretty vulnerable. You're definitely more visible to your opponent. If you need to get down in a hurry, use Boost Slam. You'll slam down to the ground super fast, meaning you'll be less vulnerable. Bonus: if you can land on an enemy, you'll instantly kill them!

Escape Routes

You ever want to find yourself trapped in a sticky situation. When you are in a map, try to take notice of your surroundings at all times. See places where you can take cover in case of heavy fire. Find hiding spots where you can cloak in case you need to make a speedy escape. This can help you survive in case of an ambush or enemy assault.

Exo Abilities

Exo abilities are really important, especially in multiplayer. They can give you the advantage, even in sticky situations. Exo abilities will only recharge if you die, so go ahead and use them, especially if you are in a tight spot! Don't let them go to waste.

You can upgrade your abilities with special perks in order to make them even more useful. Overcharged is a great perk to consider, as it will allow you to have more battery life. This will let you use more exo abilities! Another perk to consider is Fast Hands. This perk will let you activate your abilities faster. This can make a big difference if you need an ability in a pinch.

Gung-Ho

Gung-Ho is a perk that is extremely useful if you are going to be sprinting a lot. This perk allows you to fire your weapon while you are sprinting. This will give you an advantage over enemies who have to stop moving in order to aim.

Hiding Spots

Everyone is able to use the Exo Cloak ability, which makes you transparent. This is great for letting you sneak around. However, be aware, it doesn't make you invisible – players can still see you! It's just a lot harder to spot you. For best results, use the Exo Cloak in areas that are either really bright or really dark – this will make you blend I with your surroundings, making it even harder to see you while cloaked.

If you want to be hidden on the mini-map, use the Blast Suppressor perk. This will cloak your icon on the mini-map, which is good if you fight near the enemy base.

Modes

There are several different game modes for multiplayer, so before you head into the match, make sure you are prepared. Optimize your loadout for this particular game mode. Consider your weapons, perks, and other options before you start the match.

Stay Together

In multiplayer, there's no sense going off on your own to do your own thing. Work together as a team, and you'll find success in battle. If your team doesn't work together, chances are the enemies will take you out one by one. Make an effort to cover your teammates, form groups to capture flags, and stay on similar objectives.

Tactician Wildcard

The Tactician Wildcard is an excellent choice for anyone who uses exo abilities often. This will let you use two exo abilities at once. As you can imagine, this is really useful, especially in multiplayer matches.

Threat Detection

Using UAV with the threat detection module on it will help you detect enemies, as it will highlight all the enemies in red, even through walls. In multiplayer, this can make it so much easier to get kills. You can also use threat grenades to spot enemies. Toss these weapons into rooms to see where enemies are hiding out. Your fellow teammates will be able to spot the enemies too.
