Halo 5: Guardians Campaign Tips, Tricks and Cheats

Halo 5: Guardians is a huge game, and you might really need a hand to fully understand its full potential. Here's our list of tips you can take advantage from whilst playing it in the single-player and co-op mode, which may require a good dose of patience and strategy at the higher levels of difficulty.

Halo 5: Guardians

As you know, the story mode has two main protagonists in Master Chief and Spartan Locke. They play essentially the same but for one thing: Master Chief's health regenerates quicker than Locke's. Spartan Locke, on the other hand, can use Artemis to locate weapons, stuff he can interact with and intel data pads. For both of them the game doesn't include a stamina system, so you don't have to worry about how many seconds you can sprint through the maps.

You can now climb high ledges by pressing a second time the jump button. Differently from games as Destiny, Halo 5: Guardians doesn't allow you to double jump but this does really make sense when you look at how the locations were built in the game.

One of the most useful things included in Guardians is the motion tracker, on the bottom left corner of the HUD. It displays enemies in red whenever they move or fire their weapons. When targeting an enemy, look for red arrows on the reticule: arrows reveal enemy weak points as for some of them (Prometheans) you will be required to destroy their armor before being able to shoot at their weak points.

Both with Spartan Lock and Master Chief you are at the command of a team of three Spartans, which you can tell to go to a particular point in the map or focus fire on a certain enemy. You can even provide them with more weapons. Using them means to have a good hand in the fight, although AI is not perfect when you face the higher difficulty levels.

Spartan Charge (also) allows you to break walls and discover hidden passages to certain points of the map, or find secret stuff like weapon crates with a lot of ammo you can carry over the mission. To do that, you have to sprint and then press the melee button.
