Realm of the Mad God

This retro 8-bit style game is an evolution of the traditional MMO, allowing players to team up with dozens of others and battle through the Realm of the Mad God. There are dozens of classes and hundreds of items to discover in this easy-to-play online game. 

The Expendabros

The Expendabros was developed as a free spinoff title of Devolver Digital and Free Lives’ Broforce as a promotional game for the Sly Stallone film The Expendables 3. Robocraft

Players can earn over 100 different cubes and components to build a wide assortment of robot designs to use in battle. 

WAKFU

This massively multiplayer online RPG from Ankama Studio allows players to embark on an epic adventure in a 2D isometric world. Inspired by systems developed for the studio’s previous two games, Dofus and Dofus Arena, Wakfu offers tactical turn-based battles and highly interactive environments.  

War Thunder

War Thunder is a new-gen MMO combat game from Gaijin Entertainment dedicated to World War II military aviation, armored vehicles, and fleets. Players will take part in the many major campaigns of the war, fighting in combat alongside real players all over the world. 

Team Fortress 2

This team-based multiplayer first person shooter from Valve has been out for almost a decade but remains to date one of the most addicting and fun shooters, to date. Players can pick from several character classes to support their teammates with in a variety of game modes, including Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Payload—a game mode where both teams must escort a mine cart filled with explosives to an objective point. Players can earn all manner of weapons and vanity items just by playing the game for free. 

Marvel Heroes 2015

Can’t afford to play Diablo 3 but you’re aching to play an action RPG? Marvel Heroes 2015 is for you. It comes from the lead designer of the original Diablo, and sees players taking on the roles of superheroes from the Marvel Comics Universe, such as the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Guardians of the Galaxy

Dota 2

This highly competitive MOBA title from Valve is the sequel to the original Dota mod for Warcraft 3. Players can play for absolutely free, or spend money on vanity upgrades for the game’s plethora of playable characters. The game is played both professionally and casually by millions of players worldwide. 

League of Legends

This MOBA took the world by storm when it was first announced and remains to this day one of the most popular online games in the world. Players pick their heroes and do battle in relatively short matches with their teammates against other human opponents. Be warned: It’s a highly competitive game. 

Hearthstone

Developed for the PC, Mac, iOS and Android platforms, Hearthstone is a multiplayer card game that’s playable for free.
