Trinity Universe Trophy Guide

Roadmap

Stage 1: First Playthrough With Either Riz or Kanata Delete

The game offers you an epic story with the Demon God, also known as "Gem", and your choice of King Kanata or Valkyrie Rizelea. Choose whichever character you prefer and progress through the story. Be sure NOT to get the Bad Ending (the destruction of Empyria).

It is not recommended to focus on grindy trophies yet as some trophies do not allow progress to carry over to New Game + and you are still required to do a second playthrough for the platinum. You should also note that the Convert Shop will be open to you in Post-Game and New Game +. Use it as you please.

It should be noted that most of the trophies unlocked in this game are about damage dealing, hit count, winning battles, collectibles, drifting dungeons, and spending G at the shops.

Important Note: Although it is stated in this stage that you should not get the Bad ending on this playthrough, it is still up to debate on whether getting the Bad ending on the first playthrough affects the True End in the second playthrough. To be completely safe from an annoying error, be sure not to get the Bad ending on any playthrough you do.

Trophies you should work towards in Stage 1

Stage 2: New Game + (True End) Delete

After defeating the "final boss" of your first playthrough, you will be prompted to create a Clear Save file. Doing so will offer you the New Game + option if you reload that save or if you press the Continue option. In New Game +, you will be doing the story of the character that you did not play as in your first playthrough (e.g. if you chose Kanata as your main character for your first playthrough, you must choose Rizelea this time).

You will know you are on the True End path if a new Dungeon called Drifting Space is unlocked in Chapter 13. Drifting Space is the path that leads to the true final boss, Vile Goddess Ashura. Another cool thing about the True End path is that a new and exclusive character will join your party permanently until you start another playthrough.

The conditions to enter the True End path are listed in Gold What is truth, dood?.

Note: If you have not earned the Silver Closet Otaku and Silver Museum Curator trophies yet, be sure to grab every possible IM and concealed treasure from the story-related dungeons as they become inaccessible after they are cleared.

Tips & Strategies

Controls

Field Controls:
  • Left Analog and L1 - Move the Character and Camera angle
  • Cross - Confirm button, interact with things, or open chests
  • Square - Search Ability
  • Circle - Nothing in particular
  • Triangle - Main/Character Menu
  • Start - Views the full map of the Dungeon

Battle Controls:
  • Directional or/and Analog Sticks - Selects enemy to hit and rotates the camera.
  • Cross - Heavy Blow: Uses INT or ATK power depending on the Character
  • Square - Light Attack: Uses INT or ATK power depending on the Character
  • Triangle - Spell that attacks all enemies and uses INT power
  • Circle (press or hold) - Uses ability equipped on the character. Keep holding it to use the higher tier spell equipped.
  • L2 - Fury Chain: Allows you to choose which character should take turn next and also carries your Damage Input and Combo Chain progress in the turn if they were used.
  • Right Analog and/or R2 - Pass the character's turn and build up AP. It also skips the animation of some skills.
  • R3 - (Triangle) EX Skill of the character, two IM orbs are required to perform the skill. (Circle) Single-target (self) huge heal.

General Tips

  • "Fury Chain" is executed by pressing the L2 button. It will allow you to choose which character will take turn next and it will not end your Damage total and Combo Chain.
  • EX Skills can only be done if at least two IM orbs are charged to perform each skill. Up to 4 EX skills can be used in the same turn. IM orbs are the blank circles that fill with Yellow fluid. When they are completely charged, they will colored Green.
  • If "Fury Chain" is used with a character that did not take a turn yet and you landed the "Select a Character through pressing a button" on the Green area, a team attack will commence with that character. This can go until all characters have done it which will initiate an ultimate team attack with all 4 characters.
  • All enemies, with a few exceptions, have something called a "Soul Barrier". Soul Barriers are shields that serve as a defense against damage until broken. They can be broken by hitting the enemies. The longer the chain, the more damage the shield will get. Two soul barriers can be found sometimes in some bosses.

Search

The search ability is a technique exclusive to dungeon-exploring. It can be used by pressing the Square button.
After using this ability, different colored lines will appear, and each line indicates a trail to a treasure.
There are Four colored lines:
  • Yellow Line: Shows a way to a Concealed Treasure. Use it again near the glow the yellow line makes to discover it.
  • Blue Line: Shows a way to a Managraphic Image. Use it again near the glow the blue line makes to discover it.
  • Red Line: Shows a way to a Hunting Spot. Use it again near the glow the red line makes to discover it.
  • White Line: Shows a way to the dungeon's Gravity Core (if there is one.) Use it again near the glow the white line makes to discover it.

The search ability also has a Level mechanic with Level ★ (10) being the max level. It can be leveled up by using it. The more you use it, the more "XP" it gains. When the search ability levels up, its search radius near a colored line will be expanded. The number of times you can use it inside each dungeon will also increase. Here is a chart of how the Search Ability levels up:

Hunting Spots

Hunting Spots are monster gathering spots inside dungeons, they can be found by following the Red Line the Search Ability (Square) makes.

When a Hunting Spot is discovered, you can click the Cross button while standing on the Black Glow it makes to confirm an immediate battle, these spots will offer a few "Immediate" battles with random monsters. Once all of the Spot's battles are over, a chest will appear instead of the spot's location and you will gain a temporary "No Battles" seal that will stay for a set time period while inside the dungeon.

The chest the hunting spot gives will always contain an Ability that can be used by pressing or holding the Circle inside battles. The rank and the ability itself will differ depending on the Dungeon's enemy level.

Managraphic Images (IM)

Managraphic Images, or IMs for some types, are drawings made by Miyu in her Managraphic Workshop. They serve as the equipped weapon's Element when equipped. Managraphic Images' blueprints can be found inside certain dungeons by following the Blue Line the search ability (Square) makes.

Each type of these drawings will produce a single certain type of "Mana". Mana are used to craft other types of Images or even in item synthesize.

Some managraphic images are missable due to them being exclusive to Story-Dungeons only, and story-dungeons can only be accessed once if cleared. A complete list of Managraphic Images, with character routes differences as well:

*Another thing to take note of, any IM blueprint purchased from shops and it also has a blueprint in a dungeon that you have not discovered yet, that blueprint will disappear from that dungeon.

Characters

Trinity Universe offers a neat selection of characters from famous Japanese games (Disgaea, Atelier, etc) and original characters, inspired by some elements in other games. There are two routes for this game: Rizelea's story and Kanata's story. There are 13 unique characters that can join your party with 4 being optional and entirely missable if an event or a requirement is not met before a specific chapter happens.
  • Rizelea's story characters (before Chapter 11): Rizelea (Default), Lucius (Default), Violet (Chapter 3) and Flonne (Chapter 3).

Convert Shop Exploit

The convert shop is a Post-Game/NG+ exclusive shop that offers almost every weapon, equipment, IM drawings(not the Blueprints), rare synthesize materials, all kinds of Meteorites (and also exclusive meteorites: The White and Black rocks), etc.

Instead of money, the convert shop's currency is Convert Points (CP) that can be earned by exchanging any of item in your possession for said points.

A few players found an excellent exploit to getting unlimited amount of Gala that can be done as soon as the Convert Shop and Tier 4 weapons are available. The trick goes as the following:
  1. Go to the Yoma King Castle shop. Purchase as many Tier 4 weapons (Yura Kagari, Yin-Yang Fan, Exceeder, Le Fiancee, etc) as you can afford and carry.
  2. Enter the Convert Shop and turn all of the weapons you just purchased into Convert Points.
  3. Now, buy as many Orichalcum materials (Ores, Bars, etc) and Life Elixirs as you can afford and carry from the Convert Shop.
  4. Sell all of the materials you have just purchased from the Convert Shop.
  5. Repeat all of the steps above.

This method is guaranteed to give you high profits and millions or even billions of Gala. The Platinum Prinny

The Managraphic Workshop is Miyu's shop, she sells an awesome collection of Managraphic Images (IMs) that serve as weapons' elements. Miyu can make any kind of an IM, as long as you have discovered it inside dungeons (the Blue line when using Search).

You must purchase Managraphic Images worth at least 1,000,000G on a single playthrough to unlock this trophy. The purchase does not have to be at once, and does not require to be on several occasions/purchases either. You can actually get this trophy as soon as the Managraphic Workshop is unlocked for you, which is Chapter 2, but only on a NG+ as you are most likely not going to have a million G at the start of the game. You can also only purchase a single Image and get this trophy by using Miyu's "The Customer is Always Right" paying method (See image below). This method allows you to decrease or increase the Image's price as you desire (but there's at least a minimum fee she will force on you if you lower the price too much).

Note: It has been reported that some players did not unlock this trophy after giving Miyu 1,000,000G and instead unlocked later or on a completely new cycle. If that happens, either keep purchasing Images or simply wait for your second playthrough to attempt this trophy again. Galaxy Miser

In order to unlock this trophy, you must amass and hold 1 million (1,000,000) points of G at once. If you cannot seem to hold that amount of money at once, your G carries over to NG+ which should make getting this trophy easier. Meteorite Star

Meteorites are magical rocks used to enhance your characters' stats by either adding stat boosts or special effects. Meteorites are placed using the help of the Planetary Ring, and easy character starts with one Planetary Ring, and gain additional spots and rings/planets as you upgrade them.

The Meteorite Workshop is run by Rizelea, and will be unlocked for players in the first chapter of the game (Rizelea route) or late in Chapter 11 (Kanata route).

There are 8 types of Meteorites: Red (boosts ATK and/or INT), Blue (boosts DEF and/or RES), Yellow (boosts LUK and/or AP), Green (boosts SPD and/or HIT), Brown (Boosts HP and/or resistance against aliments and ambushes), Purple (boosts the gain of EXP, gala, souls, items, mana and/or boosts the resistance against elements), Black (a combination of various boosts and/or additional effects), White (a combination of various boosts and/or additional effects). All types of meteorites can be made when the required materials in in hand, except the Black and White ones which can be gotten only from the Convert Shop for a high price. When certain types or color of meteorites are put together, a special bonus may be granted for you.

You must perform the meteorite creation 100 times, NOT create 100 meteorites, in a single playthrough to unlock this trophy.

It is advised to hold off on going for this trophy until you have a mass amount of a certain type of Mana or as many types as you like. You can also buy certain types of Mana at some shops if conditions are met, but the supply is usually limited each time. be sure to make the meteorites one at a time, as making more than one of the meteorites on a single creation session will count as +1 only for this trophy (e.g. Creating 10 of Burning Star in a single time will only count as a one meteorite creation for this trophy). "Creating" monsters is done by entering Tsubaki's monster coliseum and creating a chosen monster "Doll". This Doll will serve as your enemy for whatever purpose you choose to fight it for, if you emerge victorious, Tsubaki will hand you various rewards for each time you defeat a doll. In order to make a doll, you must first buy or collect a "Monster Synthesize" book, which will open up new doll recipes for you to create.

The monster coliseum opens up to the player at the first chapter of the game (Kanata route) or late in Chapter 11 (Rizelea route).

Of course, these dolls require a certain amount of different materials in order to be created, and those conditions will require rarer or more materials with each advanced Doll.

You must create 100 monster dolls in a single playthrough to unlock this trophy. Only a single doll can be made at a time, so there is no need to worry about creating multiple dolls at once, and you can make another doll only after the already-created doll is defeated in battle.

It is advised to hold off on going towards this trophy until you have a mass amount of mana, materials and souls. Certain types of materials, mana and even souls are sold under some shops if certain conditions are met, but the supply is usually limited for each time. Space Tourists

Progress towards this trophy does NOT carry over to NG+.

Letting yourself drift inside the dungeons and out of Empyria's orbit 50 times will unlock this trophy. Please, do not mistake letting your characters drift out of the orbit and simply drifting dungeons of the orbit to be the same. You can drift a dungeon out of the orbit (done by destroying the Gravity Core found by following the White Line when using Search or by simply being inside the dungeon for too long) and make it a successful drift, but you can escape the dungeon before it drifts out and not let yourself drift out of the orbit, making no progress towards this trophy.

Letting yourself drift out of the orbit is done by simply letting the Timer, when the dungeon's gravity core is destroyed or you were inside the dungeon for too long, run out of time. by doing this, you will find yourself inside the vast, starry space with your characters either whining or comforting about the situation. You can let yourself out of this situation by waiting for a UFO to pass by you, and either bribing its residence or hijacking their ship (which will result in a battle).

It is advised to do this trophy along with Gold Space Activists to save an extra, unnecessary grind as letting yourself drift out of the orbit will also add a +1 to the number of drifted dungeons along with this trophy's count. Game Maniac

Grind
Progress towards this trophy and Evaluation Points carry over to NG+.

Evolution Points are the total score/points of your progress on each Dungeon run, many factors (including time spent in dungeon, random items picked up, lurkers defeated, boss defeated, hunting spots cleared, concealed treasures found and managraphic images obtained inside the dungeon) affect the score result.

1,000,000 Evolution Points is a very, very hard number to achieve without a lot of grinding. As you only get about 2k+ points from story dungeons, and barely anything on a normal dungeon without doing any special thing that affects the points.

By the time you unlock Gold Space Activists and Bronze Space Tourists, you may unlock this trophy as well, be close to the required number, or not even close to it, depending on how well you do inside each dungeon.

To maximize your score on each dungeon run, follow the steps below. Note that you must have at least one character at LV100+ or with the strongest gear to be able to do one of the steps mentioned:
  • Enter the chosen dungeon.
  • (Optional, not really required) Run straight for the Concealed Treasure, discover it and open it. The concealed treasure trail is the Yellow line when using the Search Ability (Square). This will wield +500 points.
  • (Optional, not really required) You can also go for the Hunting Spot, if you wish to do so. The hunting spot trail is the Red line when using the Search Ability (Square). This will wield another +500 points.
  • (Optional, not really required) Another optional thing to discover are Managraphic Images found inside dungeons. The IM trail is the Blue line when using the Search Ability (Square). Yet another +500 points.
  • Next, find the Gravity Core in the dungeon, discover it but do not destroy it yet. The gravity core trail is the White line when using the Search Ability (Square). Not all dungeons offer a Gravity Core, it's acceptable if that's the case.
  • Afterwards, keep spamming the Square button until your Search Ability count is Zero.
  • If done correctly, the Lurker of the dungeon will appear, get in a battle with it (by running in the same direction as the dark aura) and defeat it. Defeating the lurker will wield a +5,000 points. Note that the lurker may not appear immediately during or after using the Search Ability, so you may need to run in circles around the dungeon until it does appear.
  • After defeating the lurker, destroy the Gravity Core (if there is one), a countdown should occur. If there is no gravity core, continue normally.
  • Now, escape the dungeon by using the Exit in the fastest speed you can do. Get whatever random loot bags you find on your way, do not go out of your way to get them as this will decrease the countdown even more.
  • Finally, your score result will be determined depending on the things you did inside the dungeon, and destroying the gravity core and escaping successfully will add a multiplier to your points, the multiplier can be from X1.05 to X2.50 depending on how many seconds were left when you escaped the dungeon.

The main point of this method is defeating the Lurker and the gravity core inside the dungeon, if found. If you can not withstand the lurker and defeat him, you may have to hold off on grinding Evolution Points until you are able to defeat the lurker of the weakest floor of each dungeon. Shopaholic

Managraphic Images, or IMs for short, are beautiful art pieces designed to fit on certain weapons, made at the Managraphic Workshop that is run by the talented Miyu.  IMs serve as the weapons' elements when equipped, with elements such as neutral, fire, water, lighting, etc. and each IM gives a certain kind of "Mana", Mana is used for various things, either to synthesize certain items, make new IMs, or even purchase Training Dolls at Tsubaki's Monster Coliseum.

Managraphic Images can be made by Miyu at her workshop once their "blueprint" is found inside certain Dungeons. You can uncover the Blueprint's location by using the Search Ability (Square) and following the Blue line appearing, using the search ability near the aura/circular glow that the line makes will uncover the Floating Card holding the blueprint. You must find 30 different kinds of IM blueprints to unlock this trophy, purchase is unnecessary. For a list of all Managraphic Images' location, please see the "Managraphic Images" section inside the Tips & Strategies section.

Important Note #1: Not all dungeons feature a managraphic image blueprint, and most of the reappearing dungeons do not have blueprints inside them. So, unlike Silver Museum Curator, this trophy may be missable if you do not find an enough amount of blueprints inside Event and Story dungeons.

Important Note #2: Only IMs found inside dungeons (either by discovering them or through Boss Battles) will count towards this trophy, any Image purchased from any shop will not give a +1 to the progress for this trophy. Museum Curator

Concealed Treasures are chests hidden from plain sight inside Dungeons, they will appear when the Search Ability (Square) is used near them. The search "Lines" will also lead you to either a managraphic image, a concealed treasure or a hunting spot, depending on the color of the line followed. To get to the concealed treasure inside a dungeon, press Square and follow the Yellow line and press the button again when you are near the aura/circular glow the line makes.

In order to unlock this trophy, you must reveal the location of 60 hidden treasures and also open them in a single playthrough. There are only 16 (17 if on the actual True End path) dungeons that do reappear when cleared, with each holding 3 to 6+ (with Yoma castle having 17 natural floors) floors that have Concealed Treasures in and perhaps Managraphic Images. Missable
This trophy requires you to raise your Hit Count to 1,000 in a single "Fury Chain".

There are two easy methods to do this is in:
  • Pack 4 of your characters that can deal a lot of hits, Level them up as you see fit so they can survive at least Ashura's attacks. You can use the DEF Boosting potions (purchased at the Convert Shop) to level up that specific stat without making yourself overpowered.
  • An easy fight to do this in is: Either the final boss (Ashura) on the True End path or a powerful pact of three monsters.
  • Make sure that one of your 4 chosen characters is Prinny, as he's the only one capable of pulling both methods easily. Also, make sure that he's the last one to take turn in either methods.
  • (Ashura Method) Once you have entered the battle, stack up all of your characters' AP to 250 by waiting two turns, if you cannot do that exact amount, anything over 225 for each character is fine. Once done, let all of your characters (with the exception of Prinny if you are using the L2 turn-taking way) unleash their best hit-count combos to build up the Hit Count, you can also use their Special Attack (R3 + Square) if you would like, but make sure that at least 4 Image Gauge orbs are saved for Prinny. Once the last character's turn, Prinny, takes place; Unleash his Special attack twice in a row, this will build up the Hit Count a lot. Afterwards, use Prinny's combos to your disposal to build up the count if it is not enough after using his Special Attack, and hopefully will unlock this trophy. Do note that using Prinny's Special Attack twice only may not result in the required hit count.
  • (Three-enemies Method) This method is different from Ashura's method by that the enemies may not be powerful enough to withstand your attacks, as Trinity Universe does not offer an Overkill feature, and may die along the way. So, all you have to do is to make Prinny join your party, but with minimal ATK power. Once you have entered a battle with said circumstances, build up your Image Gauge to as much as you can (2-3 at minimum) and let Prinny take turn. Once it's Prinny's turn, use his special attack as many times as required to get the 1,000 hit count and this trophy. Prinny's special attack should hit each enemy with 130+ hits, about 500 HITs for each special attack if three enemies are present and survived.

If you cannot do this trophy with the Three-enemies method, and already defeated Ashura, this trophy may as well be Missable. Power of Creation

To deal easy yet powerful damage, wait until you have access to the Convert Shop (available by entering Post-Game for the first time) and purchase the most powerful weapons for your desired characters. Afterwards, enter a dungeon with low-level monsters and unleash your attacks on them. You can also level up your units, equip powerful meteorites or use permanent-buff potions. Seek Obliteration

The true end of this game is unlocked when the true final boss, Ashura and not Shuten, is fought and defeated.

There are three endings that can be achieved in Trinity Universe, the True End one will be explained further below. The two remaining, the Bad and the Normal/Good endings are achieved by doing the following:
  • Bad Ending (Destruction of Empyria): Must have not recruited the three extra characters: Miyu, Mizuki and Recit, also must have not drifted any dungeon out of the orbit by destroying the gravity cores of the dungeons. Story-dungeons and dungeons who have their gravity core destroyed automatically by being inside dungeons for too long will not count.
  • Normal/Good Ending (Shuten is defeated and Kanata is turned into a Gem): Must have not recruited the three extra characters: Miyu, Mizuki and Recit, also must have drifted at least 5+ dungeons out of the orbit by destroying the gravity cores of the dungeons before Chapter 13 takes place. Story-dungeons and dungeons who have their gravity core destroyed automatically by being inside dungeons for too long will not count.

Ashura, the evil goddess, will be fought in the last dungeon called Drifting Space once several conditions and pre-conditions are met and the True End is in action. They are:

Pre-conditions:
  • You must have cleared both character's stories, this means that the True End Path will open up once you have beaten Suzaku up on your second playthrough.
  • Must have made a clear save file after beating the final boss of the first playthrough, and load it or continuing from it.
  • Must have Miyu, Mizuki and Recit in your party on the second playthrough, aka the playthrough you want to get the True End on. You can see their requirements to unlock under "Characters" in the Tips & Strategies section.
  • This is still under debate but, make sure that you never get the Bad Ending on any playthrough you do. There are several reports that getting the Bad Ending on the first playthrough may negate all your efforts to get the True End on the second playthrough.

Conditions you must meet on the Second Playthrough:
  • You must have viewed two specific events triggered at Chapter 11 or before Chapter 13 takes place. The two events are: Forsaken Hamlet and Decimated Mecca, They are viewed by having the following objects inside Empyria's orbit: Abandoned Hamlet and Destroyed Building. These two events should make the true culprit a bit more obvious. Objects can randomly float inside the orbit by either entering dungeons or sleeping at the Inn.
  • You must have drifted 15 dungeons out of Empyria's orbit by destroying their gravity cores. It does not matter whether you escaped after destroying the core or left your self to drift away. But, dungeons who have their gravity cores destroyed automatically by staying inside dungeons for too long will not count towards this count or any "Drift # of Dungeons" trophy. Note that the drifted dungeons done on a previous playthrough will not count towards the next playthrough, and will be reset.
  • Must have done all conditions mentioned above before Chapter 13 takes place. If done correctly, after defeating Suzaku, he will join your party as the final extra character. And, a new dungeon called Drifting Space is unlocked, along with the Path of Ashura.

Drifting dungeons is the process of destroying the dungeon's Gravity Core and then, either escaping the dungeon or letting yourself drift inside the dungeon by letting the timer run out of time (it is recommended to do the latter and letting yourself drift in until you have unlocked Bronze Space Tourists).

Random dungeons drift in and out of Empyria's orbit regularly as the Days pass by, you can pass the time of the day or move to another day by either going inside dungeons or sleeping at the Inn.

An easy way to do this trophy is to sleep at the inn until a Dungeon has appeared, if more than a dungeon appeared, Anchor one of them and enter the other. Once inside the dungeon, destroy the gravity core and quickly run out of the dungeon or let yourself drift away inside. You can also maximize your score for Silver Game Maniac to make things faster. Keep repeating this method until the required number of drifted dungeons is achieved.

Also, be sure to let yourself drift in at least 50 dungeons of the 100 to unlock Bronze Space Tourists. You are free to do whatever after you have unlocked that trophy.

Note: Being inside dungeons for too long and letting the gravity core get automatically destroyed will not count toward this, or any other "Drift # of Dungeons" trophy. Example of this are Story-dungeons. The Debtor

Getting every character, all 13 (including the True End-exclusive character), to LV100 is definitely a tedious task, but rather simple if you are on the True End path and have very strong characters.

Now, getting all 13 characters to LV100 can be done by various methods, but only one of the easiest methods will be mentioned below. Remember that you are free to follow whatever method you are most comfortable with, the method can be done at anytime after finishing the game and unlocking Suzaku:

Preparations:
  • Must have Rizelea or Prinny as the strongest character. Strong enough to be able to defeat a LV90+ dungeon lurker. Remember that you can get the strongest gear, meteorites and Perma-Boost potions (limitless use until stats are capped) from the Convert Shop. Rizelea is more recommended to be your ATK/damage dealing character, and Prinny to be your Tank (very high DEF power and with as low as possible ATK power) due to his EX skill.
  • Two other characters who can do high combo chains, survive against powerful lurkers and are equipped with the best Healing abilities (either Use Item, Cure/Galaxy: Universe or Cosmos). These two characters should have their ATK or INT lowered or not increased so it can be as low as possible, the level of those characters do not matter as you can purchase Perma-DEF boost potion from the Convert Shop and use them until you are satisfied by their DEF power.
  • As mentioned above, Suzaku must be unlocked. In other words, you must be on the True End Path or its Post-Game.

The actual Method is explained by Arthaiin and can be found Here. But, in summary, you need to do the following:
  1. Enter Suzaku's Path: IV inside the Yoma Castle dungeon.
  2. You need to lure the lurker of this floor out, either by running around randomly or by abusing the use of the Search Ability (Square).
  3. Now, this is where things get sort of complicated. After entering the battle with the Lurker, you need to break two of its Soul Barriers BEFORE killing it.
  4. Breaking the First Soul Barrier: This stage will use two of your characters that you brought with you that can do high combo chains with minimal damage. You will need to break the lurker's first barrier by doing combo chains, killing him beforehand will negate this method. Flonne, Prinny and Tsubaki and also many others are good combo chainers.
  5. [Introduction] Breaking the Second Soul Barrier: You have two Options for this stage, either by using Rizelea (the Safest option) or Prinny (the Quickest option). It's up to you and what you find "easier".
  6. [Prinny's Method] Breaking the Second Soul Barrier: Build up the IM Gauge either before this stage initiates or during it until you have 6 full IM orbs, using Prinny's EX skill three times, the second soul barrier will be broken before the lurker is defeated, depending on how strong Prinny is. This method is strongly recommended.
  7. [Rizelea's Method] Breaking the Second Soul Barrier: Rizelea's EX skill will do 0 damage to the Lurker, insuring that it will not die during the process of breaking this soul barrier, but you will need to use her EX skill about 6 to 7 times to be able to break it.
  8. After the second Soul Barrier is broken, you are free to defeat it. Remember to have all fallen allies resurrected before doing so.
  9. [Notes]: If the method is done correctly, it will give you 2m to 5m EXP for each character. Remember to have all of your party members alive before the lurker is defeated so they can get the EXP. Perma-DEF (and perhaps Perma-AGI/RES boost potions) boost potions are your best friend for this method.
