Introduction

This build order is a good way to surprise your opponents in your games (clanwars - tournaments). The change of pace is important in Starcraft II and it is important to know several ways of playing your race. The Hellion-Banshee Timing Push is a simple BO to set up provided you follow some important points. The TvP is a very dynamic match-up and the Terran armada helps you to constantly surprise your opponents.

As its name suggests, the purpose of a timing push is to respect the timing. The important thing is to arrive at the right time to enjoy the element of surprise and the mobility of your units. Scouting, psyching out your enemy and timing are all important.

An opening popularised by Liquid.Sea at a time when the Terrans had some difficulty in TvP. A very useful build order when you want to put a lot of pressure on your opponent while staying in a useful comfort zone. When done well this build order will make your opponent believe that you have an Expand whereas you have actually accumulated an army to set up a timing push. Quite a simple opening to set up if you follow a few rules to trick your opponent.

Produce two Hellions to gather information Start the creation of a Tech Lab on the Factory Swap the Factory and the Starport, produice a Banshee and the Cloak.

Continue the production of Hellions, Banshees and Marines.

Options for follow ups:

Depending on your informations and your opponent's defences, you can always stop the production of Hellions/Marines to get another base. Also depending on your information nad the placement of your opponent's base on the map, you could go all in.
