Plants vs. Zombies 2

Plants vs. Zombies 2 is certainly one of those mobile games that can be quite challenging. Usually, it is rewarding in the end, as the right tactics will get you through the hardest of challenges. The same holds true for level 30 of The Lost City. While it took some time to come upt with the right selection of plants and the right timing for our moves, we found a strategy that allowed us to make it through the stage. We weren’t always able to save all of our lawn mowers, but at least we survived. Here’s how we did it!

Level 30 of The Lost City features your usual assortment of zombies: Adventure Zombies to Bucketheads, Excavator and Parasol Zombies, Bug Zombies, Relic Hunter Zombies and Imp Porters. Basically, the entire gang will come together! The difficulty of this level is that you are not allowed to position your plants on Crazy Dave’s mold colonies, which take up the first three rows. In contrast to other stages that feature the green mold, zombies are not forbidden to step on it, which actually makes this level a lot more manageable.

We recommend the following selection of plants to make it through Day 30 - Kernel-pult, Split Pea, Sun Bean, Puff-shroom, Guacodile, Red Stinger, and Stallia. In the beginning, we recommend positioning Puff-shrooms on the sun-tiles in the sixth row. Additionally, start placing Kernel-pults on the fourth row to prepare yourself against the upcoming Excavators. First, however, you will have to defend yourself against the Parasol Zombies. Position some more Puff-shrooms and also some Red Stingers.

This is what our set-up looked like towards the end of the level.

Overall, we recommend that you use your Stallias against the first Excavators and also against any huge group of zombies. Try to prevent the Imp Porters from building their tents, as this will only result in huge waves of the walking dead. Guacodiles will be your saving grace, as they will mow down entire lanes of zombies. Aside from that, we recommend placing as many Split Peas as possible, as they will defeat any zombies that get past your plants.

Try to save your green leaves for the big waves of zombies and use them on the Kernel-pults, as this will give you a few moments to reorganize yourself. Don’t worry about losing one or two lawn mowers, as long as you make it through this stage.
