[Beginners Guide] The map and how to win League Of Legends

The League Of Legends map and the aim of the game

The aim

League Of Legends is a game of 5 against 5 players, the aim is to destroy the enemy Nexus.

The map

The map is made up of:

• 3 lanes for each team, shown here by the arrows. The "top", the "mid or middle", and the "bot or bottom".
• Buildings for each team which include turrets, inibitors, a store (which cannot be destroyed) and a Nexus that you will find in the legend.
• The monsters in the jungle, some stronger than others.

How do you win a game?

By destroying the enemy Nexus, and to do this you will first need te destroy at least one inhibitor. Be to be able to destroy an inhibitor you will have to destroy the three turrets in the lane in front of it, and you must destroy the turrets in order. When you do the first turret (the one the furthest from the base), you can attack the next in the same lane, etc...

This might seem complicated, but once you are in the game it becomes clearer, and the game tutorial will explain more on this.

So to finish the game you have to "push", or in other words, destroy the buildings.

Recapping on the MINIMUM buildings you must destroy to win:

• 1st turret at the end of the lane
• 2nd turret in the middle of the lane
• 3rd turret near the inhibitor
• The inhibitor
• The two turrets of the Nexus
• The Nexus
• You've won!

Detailed explanation of the buildings

Summary

A turret: its attacks do a lot of damage, it won't reappear, don't get close at the start, you could die very quickly.

An inhibitor: Doesn't attack, once you have destroyed it stronger minions attack the team that has lost the inhibitor for 5 minutes before it reappears.

A turret

When it attacks a red mark indicates the target, more and more damage is done over time as it attacks a champion.

It doesn't reappear once it has been destroyed.

A turret will attack you if it is not already attacking another target, or if you attack an enemy champion while you are in its attack zone.

Do not get too close in your first games because you could die very quickly.

An inhibitor

It doesn't attack, it has 4000 life points. Once destroyed, the minions of the team that destroyed it become slightly stronger, plus a powerful minion is added to each wave in the lane of the destroyed inhibitor. The destroyed inhibitor reappears after 5 minutes to give the team a chance to get back in the game. Once the 3 inhibitors have been destroyed it often means the end, because two powerful minions are added to each wave on each of the three lanes, until an inhibitor is revived.

The Nexus

It doesn't attack and cannot defend itself. It's destruction results in defeat for its team.
It is very weak!
