Guide Vladimir League of Legends S6

Crimson Pact

(Innate): Every 40 points of bonus health grants Vladimir 1 ability power and every 1 point of ability power grants Vladimir 1.4 bonus health. These bonuses do not stack with themselves.

Tips :

Some HP and AP.

This passive makes Vladimir even stronger in the mid/late game
A good passive that gives Vladimir a lot of HP thanks to its power, but also more power thanks to its HP bonus, especially in the end game.

If you have, for example, 307 power this gives Vladimir 430 HP, or the equivalent of a giant's belt at 1110 gold. While 1600 HP gives 40 AP , or a Blasting Wand for 860 gold.

The passive makes items like Rylai's Scepter very interesting because it offers additional stats.

Rabadon's Deathcap would also be good in the late game.

Transfusion (Q)

(Active): Vladimir drains the lifeforce of his target, dealing magic damage and healing himself.

  • No cost
  • Range: 600
Tips :

When Vladimir casts his blood transfusion, droplets of blood head towards him.

A harass spell with a weak cooldown and a heal

The blood transfusion, in other words Vladimir isn't afraid of STDs
Maxing this spell will allow Vladimir to heal himself in the lane phase.

The heal only happens when all the droplets have reached Vladimir.

To be used as soon as possible to harass the opponent and heal at the same time, seeing as this spell has no cost.

Use it to last hit under the tower.

If you use the W just after Transfusion, it won't have time to reach Vladimir before he becomes untargetable, so he won't be healed!

This spell activates the effect of Rylai's Scepter at 35% like the other single target spells. They work really well together because it lets you continuously slow your opponents.

This spell has an incantation time.

    Cooldown: 10 / 8.5 / 7 / 5.5 / 4 seconds

    Magic Damage: 90 / 125 / 160 / 195 / 230 (+0.6 per ability power)

    Health Regained: 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 (+0.25 per ability power)

Sanguine Pool (W)

(Active): Vladimir sinks into a pool of blood becoming untargetable for 2 seconds and slowing enemies above him by 40% for 1 second. Additionally, he deals magic damage every half second to them and heals himself for 12.5% of the damage done.

  • Cost: 20% of current health
  • Diameter of AoE: 300
Tips :

Vladimir sinks into a pool of blood and becomes untargetable!

A spell to make yourself untargetable for 2 seconds and slow your opponents.

Vladimir's spell that will make you crazy!
The cost of this spell depends on current HP so you must be careful not to use it at the wrong time, because your opponent will know about Vladimir's vulnerability without his Sanguine Pool as well as the loss of HP that goes with it.

The cooldown of the spell at level 1 is very long, so you must pay attention when this spell is in cooldown because Vladimir will be a lot easier to gank, especially by the junglers. You must be careful.

Although it is not stated, casting the spell gives you a 37.5% movespeed bonus for a second.

If you time it well this spell will let you avoid targeted or non targeted skillshots like Sion's stun, or even the ultimate of Karthus by becoming untargetable furing the explosion of the ultimate. This can, however, prevent a Soraka from healing you with her ultimate.

The fact that you become untargetable will also prevent aggro from the tower during a dive, however be careful not to deal damage at the end of the Sanguine Pool with an ignite or other spell as this will directly return the aggro if no other ally has taken it.

Be careful because certain spells are not interrupted by the Sanguine Pool, like Fiddlestick's drain or Nocturne's rear, or even an ignite. It will always be affected by the DoT.

Note that some zone spells can touch Vladimir during Sanguine Pool, like Cho'Gath's silence or Cassiopeia's ultimate. No one really knows why, it takes the damage and the controls!

In the form of the pool, Vladimir cannot do a spell, or a summoner's spell, or activate items other than the Mercury's Treads.

This spell has no incantation time.

    Cooldown: 26 / 23 / 20 / 17 / 14 seconds

    Magic Damage Per Half-Second: 20 / 33.75 / 47.5 / 61.25 / 75 (+3.75% of bonus health)

    Maximum Magic Damage: 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 300 (+15% of bonus health)

Tides of Blood (E)

(Active): Vladimir unleashes a torrent of blood dealing magic damage to all nearby enemies.
Each cast of Tides of Blood gives him an Empowered stack, which increases his healing and regeneration and causing his next Tides of Blood to deal 25% more base damage but cost 25% more health. This lasts for 10 seconds, and stacks up to four times.

  • Cooldown: 4.5 seconds
  • Diameter of AoE: 1220
Tips :

Vladimir throws blood at nearby targets

Vladimir's zone damage

   A heal bonus
Very useful to push your lane, and the effect of the spell becomes more and more powerful as it is stacked. Be careful not to stack it to 4 too early because before having enough spellvamp Vladimir takes a lot of damage, not being able to regenerate sufficiently.

When you gain stacks of this spell it will be more powerful but will cost more HP. Also every stack will increase the HP regeneration of your heal spells, as well as your potions etc...

The effect on the heals stacks with the Spirit Visage which makes the item very interesting with Vladimir.

In teamfights it woudl be good to spam the spell to keep the 4 stacks before the fight so that you can deal maximum damage from the beginning of the engage. This makes it best to cast the spell just before it will lose a stack.

This spell has an incantation time.

    Cost: 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 health

    Additional Healing and Regeneration %: 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8

    Magic Damage: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+0.45 per ability power)

    Maximum Cost: 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 health

    Maximum Magic Damage: 120 / 180 / 240 / 300 / 360 (+0.45 per ability power)

Hemoplague (R)

(Active): Vladimir infects all enemies in the target area with a virulent plague which increases the damage they take from all sources by 12% for 5 seconds. After these 5 seconds, infected enemies take magic damage.

  • No cost
  • Range to center of AoE: 700
  • Diameter of AoE: 700
Tips :

Vladimir creates a pool of blood that touches opponents in the zone.

Vladimir's zone damage, and a damage bonus for you and your allies.

   Very efficient in a teamfight
When used in a teamfight the ultimate will let you increase your damage as well as that of your team.

Ignite and the Deathfire Grasp will get a % of a damage boost.

The damage is dealt 5 seconds later so you must do the maximum damage in this time. If your opponent flashes out too late he will probably die from the explosion or the plague.

This spell has no incantation time.

This increases the magic and the physical damage but not the pure damage!

    Cooldown: 150 / 135 / 120 seconds

    Magic Damage: 150 / 250 / 350 (+0.7 per ability power)

Pros

Very good AoE damage in teamfights

The Sanguine Pool will let you escape in many situations. Works very well with Zhonya's hourglass.

Capable of pushing/doing the wraiths quickly with his E.

Can towerdive efficiently with his Sanguine Pool which removes aggros from the tower by making Vladimir untargetable.

Sustain in the lane phase with his Q that also lets you harass the opponent from a good distance.

The ultimate increases the damage of the whole team by %.

Cons

No skillshot to harass from afar, so it can be difficile to harass with Vladimir against champions who can poke at distance like Oriana.

Vladimir has no mobility spells so it is difficult for him to gank efficiently.

The Sanguine Pool makes you untargetable but doen't stop certain spells.

Pay attention to controls in a teamfight that could prevent Vladimir from using his Sanguine Pool.
