TruckSimulation 16 guide: How to succeed at driving

Remember those strangely enjoyable truck missions in Grand Theft Auto V whereit was a disturbing amount of fun to deliver cargo?

TruckSimulation 16 is reminiscent of that, and has you play the role of a truck driver who has to deliver various containers to their destinations in Europe.

Driving an enormously truck is, understandably, not that easy. We at 148apps are here to advise you in this endeavour.

Don’t suffer

Right from the get-go, you’re given a choice of which control method to use. The problem with that is you haven’t had a chance to try any of them out first.

Remember that you can always change your choice later. We found the virtual controls to be the most comfortable but, if you’re a masochist, you might want to try tilt controls instead.

Starting out

Keep it simple with your early mission choices and refrain from travelling long distances. You'll earn more money faster if you keep it short and sweet.

This is the ideal time to learn the finer side of driving as well. Cruise control is great when you know the speed limit isn't going to change for a while, but you don’t want to rely on it. You’ll be fined 300 credits for speeding and those fines add up.

Cornering takes some practice too as you’re probably used to driving cars. Take it easy on a sharp bend, and try not to crash.

Making your money work for you

TruckSimulation 16 is pretty good at letting you know when to upgrade your truck and unlock new ones so don’t stress over this.

Do make sure to hire drivers as often as possible though. They're fairly low maintenance but give you the opportunity to earn money without having to do anything yourself.

Your main aim should be to have a fleet of drivers working under you eventually.
