NFL Pro 2014 Cheats & Hack for Credits, Team Points & XP

Madden NFL is one of the best selling game series of all time and for good reason, it is a fun and easy to play football game where you can play as your favorite teams and players against your friends. Now the famed rip-off artist Gameloft is attempting to cash in on the popularity of Madden NFL by making its own professional football game for mobile. Basically if you took everything from Madden NFL, added a terrible free to play system to it, and then removed all of the things that make Madden NFL fun, you would get NFL Pro 2014. Although I personally do not think highly of this game, it has received over 5 million downloads on the Google Play Store and somehow has an overall rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars on Android and iOS.

NFL Pro 2014 was released 2 years ago, all the way back the dark ages of 2013, and even then, it did not receive much critical acclaim, so it can be assumed that it has not aged very well, and that assumption would be correct. Gameloft attempted to blend together a traditional sports game and a sports management simulator and the results aren’t too pretty. NFL Pro 2014 is free to play, although it is probably one of the worst free to play systems I have ever seen as well as being infested with ads. You have to pay real money to actually play as any team you want, and the players on the teams aren’t even real. On top of all these problems, the game play itself isn’t even very good, plagued by poor controls, laggy animations, and bland graphics.

NFL Pro 2014 is unfortunately not compatible with Google Play Games however it can be connected to your Facebook account. Once you log into Facebook, you will have access to online leader boards plus you will be able to invite your friends to come play NFL Pro 2014 with you, or you can share your progress to your Facebook timeline.
When you first start the game you will have to complete a very long tutorial that will go over all of the different aspects of the game, from how the controls work, to upgrading your players. If you do not want to complete this incredibly long tutorial, then you do have the option to skip it. By paying real money! When you begin playing the game you get to pick your favorite team to play as, but pick carefully, because you will not be able to play as any other team unless you want to use an in app purchase to unlock them. While that may not be so bad if the in app purchase was reasonably priced, say $0.99 or even $2.99, but it isn’t. In order to play as any team you want you will have to fork up an outrageous $24.99! for that price you could buy a used game of Madden NFL and while you may not be able to play it on your phone, you would have a much more enjoyable gaming experience.

In NFL Pro 2014 you are given a few basic plays to use while playing, but if you want more plays you will be forced to purchase or rent them for a limited amount of time using the in game currency. The on screen controls in NFL Pro 2014 are fairly simple, although they can be lagging and inaccurate at times. In the lower left hand corner of the screen you will find a joystick, which can be dragged around to control the movement of your players, when you are playing as the quarterback and you drop back from the line of scrimmage numbers will appear over all of your receivers and tight ends, to throw to one of them just click on the number above the player you would like to throw the ball to. When you are running with the ball you will see three buttons in the lower right hand corner, one that has an image of a football player running on it, this will make your player sprint, one that has a spinning arrow icon on it, this will make your player juke out defenders, and one that has an image of two football helmets on it, this one will allow you to break through tackles and muscle your way past defenders. When kicking a field goal or an extra point in NFL Pro 2014 a slider will appear in the lower right hand corner of the screen, on this slider there will be a football, you will drag the football down to select the power of the kick and then back up to select the accuracy of the kick.

By completing various objectives in NFL Pro 2014 you will receive experience which will eventually cause you to level up. When you level up you are given points which can be used for upgrading your players, you have the option to upgrade each players performance in pretty much every aspect, such as throwing power or accuracy, speed, catching ability, strength, and pretty much anything else that you could think of. While this may be a cool feature if you could start off with your favorite rookie and build him into a superstar, none of the players in NFL Pro 2014 are even real which makes the feature a lot less fun and rewarding as the players you are working to improve are all fake and meaningless.

NFL Pro 2014 is currently on version 1.6.0 and works on both ios and android phones and tablets. It does require that you own either an android device with android version 2.3 gingerbread or later or an ios device running at least ios 5.1.1 or later which gives it a very large pool of compatible devices. It is not a very graphically demanding game so most devices should have no trouble running it as long as they have a compatible operating system.

NFL Pro 2014 has several different in app purchase options, most of which are incredibly overpriced and some of which are basically necessary in order to actually play a half decent game. For credit in app purchases there is a $1.99 option that will get you 200 credits, a $4.99 option that will get you 550 credits, a $9.99 option that will get you 1200 credits, a $19.99 option that will get you 2600 credits, and a $49.99 option that will get you 7000 credits. If you want to unlock all 32 NFL teams, you will have to pay $24.99. To get a sense of how overpriced these credit purchases are, the average play costs about 250 to unlock, which means that an individual play will cost you over $2 in real money! If you want to extend the quarter length to the normal 15 minutes from the 2 minute quarters that the game has by default, you will have to pay 5000 credits, which is roughly $40 in real money! Therefore if you wanted to be able to play as all of the teams and have 15 minute quarters you would have to pay around $65 (A brand new copy of Madden NFL 15 costs around $40 on average to put that into perspective) which is completely outrageous considering that the game will still have an incredibly large amount of intrusive ads along with poor controls and laggy gameplay.

NFL Pro 2014 Cheats and Tricks

There are really no ways to cheat in NFL Pro 2014 besides hacking the app file itself, but there are some strategies that can be used if you do want to spend your time playing this game for some reason. One way to save your credits is to rent plays before buying them to make sure that you actually want to spend your credits on them, it is much cheaper to rent plays then to buy them and being as expensive as they are, it is probably a good idea to make sure that you actually like the play before dropping your credits on it.

If you actually want to play the game it is probably a good idea to increase the quarter length. While this is incredibly expensive it is probably one of the few ways to improve the game because two minute quarters are simply wayyy to short.

Knowing standard football strategies will also help you out a lot in NFL Pro 2014, don’t throw to a receiver that is being double covered, don’t leave a gap in your line on defense, and don’t leave a receiver wide open on defense. Most of this is common sense and if you have ever watched professional football and have any knowledge of the game whatsoever you should be able to be pretty decent at NFL Pro 2014.

Our Full NFL Pro 2014 Review

I have reviewed a lot of apps lately and this was the first one that I truly did not enjoy. This is a shame because I normally love sports games and I am a huge fan of Madden NFL so when I saw this game I was hoping for a mobile experience similar to that in some way. I wanted to be able to use Aaron Rodgers and launch up hail mary’s to Randall Cobb for super bowl winning touchdowns, but the players in this game aren’t even real. Sometimes I feel like playing as a team other than my beloved Green Bay Packers, but I can’t even do that on this game without shelling out an extra $25! The 2 minute quarters go by way too quickly to actually be able to get into the game play and to make things worse, while playing the game you are constantly bombarded with full screen video ads that cannot be minimized and while you can pay money to increase the quarter length or unlock all 32 NFL teams, you cannot get rid of these ads. One minute you will be scoring a touchdown and the next you will be watching a video ad about ATT’s newest internet and phone bundle deal.

All of these problems might have been slightly tolerable if the game play was even slightly fun or decent. Unfortunately it is not. The controls are horrendous, sometimes pressing a button or moving the joystick won’t get a response from your player for 2 seconds, which in a game of football can be the difference between a touchdown and a fumble. The kicking controls are just as bad, set the kick power to 50 yards and the ball will rarely travel over 20, the accuracy of the kicks is also spotty at best and it makes kicking what should be an easy extra point into a process that is harder than getting the touchdown itself. The graphics are also not very good, the look like something that was made at least 5 years ago and by a developer that was not very well funded, which Gameloft definitely isn’t. Gameloft is clearly capable of making much better looking free to play game which has been shown in hits of theirs such as Asphalt 8 which is one of my all time favorite mobile games so I have no idea why they couldn’t do that for this game. The in game animations are also slow and laggy and look like something off of a Nintendo 64, which is definitely not a compliment. (Although I do love the Nintendo 64)

Ratings

Artwork: I give NFL Pro 2014 a 4/10 for its artwork. The graphics in this game were not up to standard with more recent mobile games at all and the animations were slow and laggy. Gameloft can do much better than this.

Music and SFX: I give NFL Pro 2014 a 6/10 for its music and SFX. This was probably the best part of the game which isn’t really saying much. The announcers for the games were not very good and neither were the sound effects. They just weren’t as bad as the rest of the game.

Story and Originality: I give NFL Pro 2014 a 5/10 for its story and originality. There really wasn’t a story and the game itself was not very original although I have to give Gameloft some credit for trying (although unsuccessfully) to incorporate sports management features into a general sports game.

General Gameplay: I give NFL Pro 2014 a 2/10 for its general gameplay. The controls rarely worked how you wanted them to and everything was slow and laggy overall. The free to play system that the game uses is also probably one of the worst that I have ever seen.

Addictiveness: I gave NFL Pro 2014 a 3/10 for addictiveness. It is a pretty bad game play experience that doesn’t really have a lot that makes you want to come back for more, which ends up creating a not so addictive game.

Overall I give NFL Pro 2014 a 4/10
