NinJump Deluxe Hack & Cheats for Shields & Powerups

NinJump Deluxe is an arcade game developed by Backflip Studios Inc., a company known for other games such as DragonVale, Paper Toss or Army of Darkness. NinJump Deluxe is available on both Android (Free) and Apple (costs $0.99) and it has been downloaded for more than 10 million times. The game has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 on Google Play and 4 stars on Apple’s App Store. In order to run smoothly, it requires an Android version of at least 2.3.3 and for Apple users, iOS 5.0 or later.

In NinJump Deluxe you find once again the joy of ninja climbing from the previous title called NinJump. Here, you face different enemies, new levels and all kinds of power-ups and shields that will prove themselves useful in the game. For those who hear the first time about it, you should know that your role is to survive for as long as possible in a fast paced ninja climber game.

The game doesn’t require a mandatory sign-up and you can’t create an account or sign-in with an existent social account either. This isn’t really a problem because the game is basically an endless run that resets each time you start a new run. However, if you feel like it, you can share your latest score on Facebook or even send a e-mail to a friend with it.

NinJump is not a game that has a currency, but fortunately for the guys who like to show their support to the developers by paying real money, there are one or two microtranscations available within the game. You can increase the number of Shields you can have during a game by purchasing them with real money. The price for Shields varies starting with $0.99 in exchange for a 2 Shields per game and goes up to 200 Shields for $24.99. Also, by paying $0.99, Android users can get an ad-free game.

Cheats & Tips for NinJump Deluxe

  • If you have a good internet connection (and especially free) don’t hesitate to click the video ads for a speed burst at the beginning of the round. It really helps you a lot and the ad is short and about games.
  • Like the tip above, if you are on the verge of breaking a high score or feeling lucky, use the video ad option to survive the fall and continue your journey.
  • If you are using the “get-out-of-death free” video option, be aware that you will lose your previous consecutive kills made until that point. Is not the end of the world, but is worth mentioning.

  • Don’t forget to use your Free Shield (or shields if you pay real money) which is available on every run. You should be able to activate it before the imminent danger so don’t rush with it because you may find other ones on your journey.
  • Watch out for obstacles everywhere. Even though you are killing all the enemies, make sure you keep an eye on the walls too. There are a lot of obstacles that will knock you down.
  • Try to kill the same type of enemy for 3 consecutive times. You will get a fun and helpful power-up that will get you through anything for a while.

  • You can slash and “kill” everything that gets in your way except the static obstacles so don’t worry about “dueling” with cannon balls or something like that.
  • If you are not entirely sure you will be safe on the other side and the enemy that is coming after you will not touch you, don’t make the jump. The old “Better safe than sorry” fits perfectly to this game.

NinJump Deluxe Review

There is something odd about arcade games that involve running, jumping and ninjas. And the odd thing about them is the fact that everybody seems to like playing them no matter how simple or good looking they are. Fortunately, NinJump Deluxe looks great and is one of the few games of this type that in my opinion are worth playing because it is challenging and especially fun.

First of all, I really like the fact that NinJump Deluxe has themed levels implemented. You can choose between Castle, Jungle and Pirates and each one of them comes with its own environment, enemies and sounds and that is an awesome thing. Secondly, I really like the idea (it will be shocking, I know) of getting a speed boost at the beginning of a round in exchange of watching a video from a sponsor. The bonus is pretty consistent and if you choose not to do so, it will not feel unfair.

Moreover, comparing with other games, the video ad doesn’t act strange in any way and you are not required to open the browser for the ads or do any other shady business. In the end, I think that one of the game’s strongest parts is the idea of getting a power-up if you manage to kill for 3 consecutive times the same type of enemy. I like that every power-up is different (for example if you get 3 pirates in a row you will receive a hook that acts both as a grappling hook and as a deadly weapon) and makes the game more challenging.

There are a few things I don’t like about NinJump Deluxe. For example, I like the idea of being as straight forward as possible but the game doesn’t offer you any recognition of progressing at all. Segmenting each terrain in levels or something like that would have been a small but significant change that would have helped in this department. As I mentioned before, I think that the video ads that are used for a speed boost and for another chance in a game are great but I really hate the fact that I have to wait 5 and 10 seconds respectively for the options to disappear from the screen if I choose not to use them.

Also, as a fan of game statistics I would have loved a Stats option where I would have been able to see the number of runs I made, the average score, the highest and so on. Currently I can only see the high score at the end of a run. It may seem weird, but another thing I really consider annoying is the game’s menu. It looks disorganized, messy and too glossy for my taste.

Overall, I would recommend NinJump Deluxe to everybody. The game is not the greatest available on the market but it’s a perfect choice if you want to keep yourself busy in the subway or something like that.

Ratings

Artwork: NinJump Deluxe gets a rating of 8 out of 10 for its artwork. Believe me when I say, this game looks surprisingly great given the fact that it is an arcade game. You will not find extraordinary visuals or realistic graphics because it’s not the case. However, what you will find is a simple yet good looking game that has a nice not-so-colorful cartoon theme, a neat design and a nice environment that interacts with the player. The animations and the characters (your ninja and the enemies) are also looking more than decent. It would be unfair to other games to give NinJump Deluxe a higher rating but at the same time it would be unfair to give it a smaller rating.

Music & SFX: I give the game a rating of 8 out of 10 at this segment. Similar to the artwork, this game’s music is also surprisingly nice. Each environment has his own song and sound effects and that’s great. Each one of them is suited with the theme and give the game a nice atmosphere. The sound effects are fairly simple but they do their job and that’s fine with me. The problem with both the music and the sound effects is that they don’t stand out in any way and unfortunately, in arcade games, they should. Other than that, I have no complaints about them.

Story/Originality:  NinJump Deluxe gets 7 out of 10 at this section. It may not come as a surprise when I am going to tell you that this game, like the majority of this type, doesn’t have a story whatsoever. Not a line from the game’s description or intro doesn’t hint about the origin of this ninja and why is he doing all this crazy jumps. As I certainly mentioned before, this kind of games is very common. NinJump Deluxe is good and it has nice things in it but unfortunately the game is far from being authentic or original in any way. On a brighter note, NinJump Deluxe resides along the good games for its genre.

General Gameplay: I give the game a rating of 10 out of 10 for its gameplay. The beauty of the arcade games is the fact that it’s easy to understand the controls and you can play the game in no-time. NinJump Deluxe respects its genre and is one of the easiest game to play but hard to master. There is no need of a tutorial because all you have to do in the game is to avoid obstacle, dodge or kill enemies and jump from a wall to another. For the time I’ve played I haven’t encountered any freezes or crashes so from this point of view the game is flawless.

Addictiveness: NinJump Deluxe gets 7 out of 10 for its addictiveness. I really like the game and I find it very addictive. However, it is like that until a point where you will find it really hard to surpass your highscores and because of no extra content, you will eventually get bored. I know that arcade games are not supposed to have stories, complicated gameplays or level progression but those are not the only ways to keep a player entertained. A leaderboard implementation where you can see who is the best and where, a series of achievements or a symbolic daily reward can do wonders too.

Overall, NinJump Deluxe gets a rating of 8 out of 10. The game excels in a lot of departments but there is still some work to do to make it really good. However, it has the potential of being one of the best arcade games available on the market.
