Duke Nukem Forever Game Guide & Walkthrough

This guide will help you in solving the more tricky puzzles, finding all the power-ups for Duke and unlocking every achievement - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

This guide will help you in solving the more tricky puzzles, finding all the power-ups for Duke and unlocking every achievement. Duke Nukem Forever is a linear game, but full of surprises which I hope I can help you to discover. In the guide you can find a richly illustrated walkthrough and movies covering the more difficult fights and complicated achievements. This guide also only covers the single player campaign, so you won't find any hints on the multiplayer mode.

Piotr "MaxiM" Kulka

Translated to English by Jakub "cilgan" Lasota

Before we move on to the main part, I have a few hints which you can find useful at any moment of the game. Some of them are more obvious and some less - depending on your experience with this kind of games.

Complete the game on the "Let's Rock" difficulty setting (normal) to unlock the "EXTRA GAME SETTINGS" option, which will allow you to alter the game, making it harder or easier. If you intend to complete the game once again on a higher difficulty setting, be sure to find all the Ego boosts. Always be on the look for additional ammo. You can only have two weapons at once, so you definitely don't want to end up without ammo for them. Look for secret points not described in this guide (as they're not obligatory for completing the game), which can be very helpful. While using turrets, the booster or even elevator brakes, keep a look at the meter at the bottom of the screen and don't let it overheat. In case of guns ant turrets, you can mash the button instead of keeping it pressed down. Duke Nukem Forever features a regenerating Ego (health) bar, so don't hesitate to back out if you are badly hurt and recover. You can have pipe bombs and trip mines with you at all times. If a big fight is coming and you still have some time, you can mine the area. Also remember that you can throw various objects at the enemies (barrels, weights, statuettes etc.). Hitting an enemy with such an item pretty much always ends with his death. Keep an eye for any narrow places, as usually they mean trouble.

The list below contains hints which appear on the loading screen.

  • Place Trip Mines in the world to lay traps for your enemies.
  • You can place mines on live enemies.
  • You can throw multiple Pipe Bombs into the world before detonating them.
  • The shotgun is most effective at close range.
  • Shoot guided RPG missiles by holding the cursor on an enemy for a few second.
  • Use the Shrink Ray on tough enemies like the Enforcer and Assault Commander.
  • Supply crates always carry the EDF logo.
  • Take Steroid to make your melee attacks stronger.
  • Drink beet to make yourself tougher.
  • Use Holoduke to distract enemies.
  • Use melee attacks to conserve ammo.
  • You can only carry one of each type of special item.
  • You can pick up weapons dropped by your enemies.
  • Blue barrels are heavier than other ones.
  • Red barrels and propane tanks will blow your enemies up.
  • When a red barrel catches fire, it's about to blow!
  • You can still push buttons and interact with many world objects when shrunk.
  • When shrunk, listen to the distinct sound made by Particle Expander Pads.
  • Defeating Bosses will give you a permanent Ego boost.
  • Executing enemies will immediately restore your Ego.
  • Many items are destructible - choose your cover wisely.
  • Destroy Pregnator eggs before they hatch.
  • Stay away from Pregnators and Berserk Pigcops to avoid their grapple attacks.
  • You can stomp Rats and Octababies by looking at them and running over them.

You will begin the adventure with a lovely scene of urinating inside the toilet of a sports team. Take a look behind the toilets to unlock your first hardcore-only achievement. Approach the unflushed toilet and take out the "bronze figure". Yes, with bare hands, Duke is tough. Congratulations, you have unlocked Turd Burglar ;)

After going out of the toiler you will have a chance to unlock yet another achievement - 1. Duke Lives - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After going out of the toiler you will have a chance to unlock yet another achievement. In the middle of the room there are "debating" EDF forces and a whiteboard, on which you can write by interacting with it. Draw something and you will unlock Drawrings.

Now you just need to get out of the room and follow the EDF - 1. Duke Lives - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Now you just need to get out of the room and follow the EDF. Nothing can happen to you during this section. Head to the elevator to get your first weapon - the Devastator.

Pick it up and you will ride up the elevator to the football stadium, where a giant Cycloid awaits you - 1. Duke Lives - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Pick it up and you will ride up the elevator to the football stadium, where a giant Cycloid awaits you. Fighting it isn't really difficult, as there's a lot of free space around which makes keeping the boss at distance easy. Additionally the Devastator is a very powerful weapon. However before you focus on the Cycloid, shoot down the blimp with a beet commercial over the stadium for Sunday, Black Sunday.

The Devastator eats ammo rather fast, but luckily the EDF will make sure you don't run out completely - 1. Duke Lives - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

The Devastator eats ammo rather fast, but luckily the EDF will make sure you don't run out completely. An EDF airship will fly over the stadium from time to time, throwing supplies marked with a red flare. After you take care of the Cycloid, you will be moved to Duke's apartment.

From the bathroom head to the living room where you will find a pool table - 1. Duke Lives - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

From the bathroom head to the living room where you will find a pool table. Pot all the balls into the pockets (of course apart from the white) to get another Ego boost. Playing pool might be tricky, as you're not using any cue stick and the "Hit Ball" hint doesn't always show. However if you're touching the table, just aim at the white ball and use the button responsible for interaction - even if the ball is on the opposite side.

That's pretty much everything you can do in this level, so follow the corridor behind the mahogany door into the elevator - 1. Duke Lives - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

That's pretty much everything you can do in this level, so follow the corridor behind the mahogany door into the elevator.

Go out of the elevator, go through the main door and right behind the corner you will see snack and drink machines. It's a chance to unlock the Noms achievement. Just eat 10 snacks.

Go down the corridor and on the left you will see a door with Employee Lounge plate - 2. Damn! Its late... - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Go down the corridor and on the left you will see a door with "Employee Lounge" plate. Go inside and on one of the shelves you will find a microwave and popcorn lying beside. Prepare the popcorn in the microwave for another Ego boost.

Go up and you will reach the throne room inside Duke's museum - 2. Damn! Its late... - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Go up and you will reach the "throne room" inside Duke's museum. Before you can use the throne yourself, you will need to take a photo of your fan with the nearby panel. Sit down once he leaves.

1 - 2. Damn! Its late... - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After a long briefing inside your command centre, exit through the door behind the throne/elevator. The real action will begin, as the aliens have overrun your "cave".

This stage is perfect for unlocking a few achievements - 3. The Duke Cave - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

This stage is perfect for unlocking a few achievements. You will start off by having the chance of killing an alien by throwing a statuette at him. Kill 10 aliens this way to unlock Tosser... in the Literal Sense. The first room you will arrive to is Duke's gym. This place is a real Ego mine.

In order to receive all Ego boosts here, you have to: throw the ball into the basket, curl a dumbbell, lift the barbell (firstly putting on the four weights found in the area or you won't receive the boost), hit the punching bag and punchball and beat the highscore at pinball (over 280 thousand).

You can also unlock Balls of Steel by scoring over 1.000.000 points at pinball.

Once you're done raising your Ego, pull out the vent and go inside. Soon after you get out of it, all the light in the building will go out. In accordance with the hint, turn on Duke Vision. There will be lots of aliens in the area and you don't yet have any weapon, but don't worry - you will find lots of items that can be thrown at them. You can also always leave it to your fists, easily defeating all blindly walking enemies.

On your way you will also find beer cans lying on the floor - 3. The Duke Cave - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

On your way you will also find beer cans lying on the floor. Pick up one, but don't use it yet. Inside one of the rooms you will find another vent, follow it to the generator. Beside it there are two cells which you need to insert.

Do it and the door leading to the third cell will open - 3. The Duke Cave - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Do it and the door leading to the third cell will open. It turns out to be inside a locker room, behind glass. Luckily you have a remote control car at your disposal. Use it to pull the cell to the hole by the door.

Return to the main room and place the last cell in the generator - 3. The Duke Cave - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Return to the main room and place the last cell in the generator. Turn it on and take the steroids that will come out.

More aliens will soon enter the room - 3. The Duke Cave - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

More aliens will soon enter the room. You will have a chance to unlock three achievements at once:

Flagon of Chuckles (drinking a beer), Juiced (taking steroids) and Substance Abuser (both at the same time). Take the steroids, drink the beer and smash some alien heads. It will be also the first step towards yet another achievement - Duke Angry, Duke Smash! (kill 15 aliens while on steroids). You might kill 6-7 aliens that way, finish the others in a conventional way. Eventually two Pigcops will enter the room. Exit following the same way they came and at the end of the corridor you will obtain Duke's unique weapon - the gold Colt M1911.

If you want to unlock Gunslinger, you will have to keep it to the very end of the game which means you will only be able to change one weapon - 3. The Duke Cave - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

If you want to unlock Gunslinger, you will have to keep it to the very end of the game which means you will only be able to change one weapon! But don't worry, the pistol is surprisingly effective and headshots are absolutely murderous. Inside the round corridor where you will find yourself you will have the chance to unlock Dead Useful by killing an enemy using a gas cylinder.

Just shoot one of them when an enemy is standing nearby - 3. The Duke Cave - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Just shoot one of them when an enemy is standing nearby. You can also pick up the cylinders and exploding barrels and throw them at enemies. Having the Colt, start doing headshots and after 30 you will unlock On the Noggin'. Finish the level by taking over the giant gun that the aliens were trying to destroy.

6 - 3. The Duke Cave - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You will have to fight the alien Mothership. A quite unfair fight, as Duke definitely has a bigger gun ;) Right at the beginning you will be able to unlock Natural Disaster 3x. Alien dropships will start flying over the battlefield - once one of them opens the hatch, start shooting inside and you will be easily able to take out three aliens at once. At the same time try to shoot down the dropships as well, to start working on Big Guns, Big Ships (you need to shoot down 5 of them). Keep focusing your fire at the mothership's laser gun and soon fighters will start appearing, in groups of three.

Always shoot the middle one, as it will shoot a laser at you once it gets close enough - 4. Mothership Battle - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Always shoot the middle one, as it will shoot a laser at you once it gets close enough. Shooting down these ships will get you closer to unlocking Baron von Nukem (shooting down 20 ships).

After defeating the Mothership, Duke will lose consciousness and wake up 4 hours later inside the gun shaft. Use the nearby vent to get out.

1 - 4. Mothership Battle - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After getting out of the vent you will find yourself inside an elevator shaft, which will almost immediately start falling. Pull the brake lever, but keep an eye on the temperature meter and don't let it overheat. Brake in series, so that the brakes have time to cool down.

Once the elevator safely stops, go out and you will be miniaturised - 5.1. The Lady Killer - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Once the elevator safely stops, go out and you will be miniaturised. Pull the luggage cart to get out of the rubled room.

Time to take a ride inside the remote control car - just this time as the driver himself - 5.1. The Lady Killer - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Time to take a ride inside the remote control car - just this time as the driver himself. Ramps (in the form of paintings, posters etc.) have been conventionally placed along the track, use boost to fly over the obstacles behind them. The ramps also serve as signposts, directing you along the only proper way, so it's impossible to get lost.

1 - 5.1. The Lady Killer - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Right after the loading screen you will end up in a room full of aliens with blasters, so it would be good to drive to its end. Once you drive through the gate it will lock up behind you and will be too low to return drive beneath it.

Go out of the car and continue on foot - 5.2. The Lady Killer: Part 2 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Go out of the car and continue on foot. You have to reach the button which will let you go below the gate. Jump up the luggage onto the nearby roulette table and from it continue onto the other furniture. Between the tables there are chairs, which can be used as springboards.

Once you reach the couch, look out for the rats lurking between the plants behind it - 5.2. The Lady Killer: Part 2 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Once you reach the couch, look out for the rats lurking between the plants behind it. Press the button to raise the gate and go back inside your car. Enemies will be looking for you, so look for ramps and boost often. By driving into the aliens' feet you can stun them for a short while, but it's a risky strategy and it's better to just avoid them. Eventually you will reach a spot where after a heroic jump the car will break down.

On the other side of the grate in front of you there's a device that will return you to your normal size - 5.2. The Lady Killer: Part 2 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

On the other side of the grate in front of you there's a device that will return you to your normal size. Pull the luggage cart towards the button to the left of the grate, return to where you crashed the car, go up the ramp onto the sofa and from there to the button. The device is right beside the naughty twins, which you can look under the skirts. Once you're back to normal, break the showcase in front of you and take the shotgun (remember to keep the Colt if you want to earn Gunslinger).

Aliens will start teleporting into the room - 5.2. The Lady Killer: Part 2 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Aliens will start teleporting into the room. Eliminate a few of them and eventually two of them will be able to kidnap your twins and you won't be able to do anything about it.

Time to return the same way you came here and this time eliminate the enemies that were trying to trample you before - 5.2. The Lady Killer: Part 2 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Time to return the same way you came here and this time eliminate the enemies that were trying to trample you before. Once you reach a dark room with slot machines, more enemies will come through the ceiling. After eliminating them, approach one of the machines and keep playing until you get a Ego boost.

Keep following the road you were driving along moments ago until you reach a room with a car in the display - 5.2. The Lady Killer: Part 2 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Keep following the road you were driving along moments ago until you reach a room with a car in the display. Between the pillars there's a chest with steroids standing on it. If you want, you can continue working on Duke Angry, Duke Smash!, so hold back with taking them until Pigs join the fight.

After getting rid of all the enemies, go out through the opposite gate - 5.2. The Lady Killer: Part 2 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After getting rid of all the enemies, go out through the opposite gate.

Go along the corridor to the room in which there's a large mechanical statue of Duke. Use the panel to set the arm so that you can use them to get to the upper floor, where a buddy from EDF is waiting for you.

After setting the arm, use the Alien Attack button to lower the building models and use them to get onto the statue - 5.3. The Lady Killer: Part 3 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After setting the arm, use the "Alien Attack" button to lower the building models and use them to get onto the statue. Once you're upstairs, head to the highlighted door and afterwards back into a vent. Exit it to find yourself in a corridor mined by the Pigs.

You can detonated the mines by shooting them or avoid the lasers that block your path - 5.3. The Lady Killer: Part 3 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You can detonated the mines by shooting them or avoid the lasers that block your path. Fires will start breaking out in the corridor, which will block your way. In order to extinguish them, shoot the fire-extinguishers beside them. Be sure not to stand too close, as an exploding extinguisher is no joke. At the end of the corridor you will find the same mines which you had to avoid a moment ago. Now that you have them in your inventory, you can unlock two more achievements. Sticky Bomb Like You! Requires you to place a mine on an enemy, while Trapper can be unlocked by killing 10 enemies with the mines. You will have plenty chances to do that. Behind the door you will have to fights some Pigs and a mini boss.

Restock on ammo using the EDF chest, go inside the room with a gold figure and wait for the Assault Commander to appear - 5.3. The Lady Killer: Part 3 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Restock on ammo using the EDF chest, go inside the room with a gold figure and wait for the Assault Commander to appear. The commander is a fat, flying alien who shoots rockets and additionally is equipped with rotating blades which he might charge with.

The fatty will change your companions into two Pigs, so firstly take care of them and then move on to attacking the mini boss - 5.3. The Lady Killer: Part 3 - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

The fatty will change your companions into two Pigs, so firstly take care of them and then move on to attacking the mini boss. In normal circumstances explosives would be best, but this time around you only have mines, the shotgun and the pistol. The shotgun is pretty efficient, but you have to stick close which might be dangerous. One method is to set mines around the fountain and make the commander to chase you. If everything goes well, he will bump into the mines and you will have to finish him off with a few shots.

Right after the beginning of the level approach the EDF vehicle where you can change your weapon and restock on ammo. Inside the vehicle there's an armour, very similar to Master Chief's in Halo - approach it and look at the helmet. It's the first of three famous helmets that you need to find in the game to unlock Bucket Head.

After going a bit further down the street you will reach a machine gun nest which you can use to grind hordes of Pigs and assault troopers - 6. Vegas In Ruin - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After going a bit further down the street you will reach a machine gun nest which you can use to grind hordes of Pigs and assault troopers. However make sure no one approaches you from behind. Move on following the left lane to avoid the fire of the machine gun on the right. Nearby the barricade (in the form of a downed vehicle) which you will reach you will find a small "armoury" below the destroyed bridge, which you can use while you're at it.

After one of your EDF buddies destroys the barricade, follow your new companion - 6. Vegas In Ruin - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After one of your EDF buddies destroys the barricade, follow your new companion. While going down the street, look out for one of the bigger Pigs with a RPG and its sidekicks, who will be throwing red barrels at you. Nearby you will also find a supply chest, including pipe bombs and steroids.

Once you reach more machine gun nests, use one of them to fight off the Pig wave coming your way - 6. Vegas In Ruin - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Once you reach more machine gun nests, use one of them to fight off the Pig wave coming your way. Soon afterwards you will find a RPG - I'd strongly recommend taking it, as soon you will have to fight a boss. Go down into the canyon, apparently created as a result of a big explosion, and prepare for fight - the Battlelord is coming (preceded by a few waves of lesser enemies).

During the Battlelord fight you can depend only on your RPG and it stays true with all the other bosses in the game - 6. Vegas In Ruin - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

During the Battlelord fight you can depend only on your RPG and it stays true with all the other bosses in the game. The launcher can hold up only 5 rockets at once, but it's not a big problem as there are two EDF chests on opposite sides of the battlefield, which will provide you with an unlimited amount of ammunition.

1 - 6. Vegas In Ruin - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and WalkthroughRemember that the RPG has a lock-on system - you just need to keep the cursor on the enemy for a few seconds - 6. Vegas In Ruin - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Remember that the RPG has a lock-on system - you just need to keep the cursor on the enemy for a few seconds. Look out for wrecked cars as the enemy can kick them towards you and for blue grenades during the fight. After a dozen or so properly fired rockets, the Battlelord will fall to his knees.

You have to quickly run to him and follow the prompts displayed on the screen - 6. Vegas In Ruin - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You have to quickly run to him and follow the prompts displayed on the screen. After you finally defeat and humiliate the boss, a passage leading to the next level will open.

Soon after leaving the sewers you will come across two obstacles. The first is a electrified pool. Just wait for the pole to stop sparkling and quickly jump across the pallets.

The second is a fire blocking your way - 7.1. The Duke Dome - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

A horde of Pigs will take over the area, you'll have to eliminate them before being able to move on. Weapons found throughout the barrack will come in handy: a machinegun, shotgun and a RPG (will be useful for the bigger specimens which will appear as well). After putting all the Pigs to sleep, the passage in the fence will open and behind it you will find another RPG.

Now open the main gate and follow the tentacles - 7.1. The Duke Dome - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Now open the main gate and follow the tentacles.

You will reach a square with a few containers, but without any escape route. In order to get out, you need to collect all the blue barrels and throw them into the red container which you will be able to climb to the scaffolding.

Welcome to the hive. Go along the downward path to find a machinegun. Go back and follow the only available road leading up.

Eventually you will reach a narrow tunnel - 8.1. The Hive - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Eventually you will reach a narrow tunnel. You will see a glowing beetle which will immediately roll up. Roll him out of the tunnel and watch what will happen.

Beside the door (hereinafter

Beside the door (hereinafter "sphincter") there's a tentacle which will catch the bug and open the passage. After going through the second sphincter, stop and look left - you will see a faint light coming from a very small chamber. Use Duke Vision to make it easier.

Go inside the chamber to find another gun, but also another helmet needed for unlocking Bucket Head - 8.1. The Hive - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Go inside the chamber to find another gun, but also another helmet needed for unlocking Bucket Head. This time it's the helmet of Isaac from Dead Space.

Return to the main path - 8.1. The Hive - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Return to the main path. On your way you will find spiked tentacles coming out of the walls. Look left below the "bridge", where you will also see a glowing "eye". In order to go pass the tentacles safely you have to shoot the eye which will temporarily close itself, blinding the tentacles which won't be able to see you sneak by. You can also shoot individual tentacles which of course is less economical. Move on and behind one of the bigger rooms you will come across a tunnel covered with sparkling "puffballs" - you need to shoot them from afar, as they explode if you get near.

Eventually you will reach a corridor inside of which you will find a dead soldier and a shotgun - 8.1. The Hive - Campaign - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Eventually you will reach a corridor inside of which you will find a dead soldier and a shotgun. Pick it up before moving on, as an Octabrain will soon fly into the room and the shotgun is great against it from a short distance. After reaching a bigger room, you will encounter shell-like creatures growing on the walls. If you approach it, the "shell" will open, chaining into a springboard.

Spiked "tentacles" can be found only in areas infected by aliens, growing on walls, ground and ceilings. They attack when you get close, but it can be stopped by shooting them. They often appear accompanied by a glowing eye which serves them as their own. Shoot the eye to neutralise the tentacles for a short while.

Neither the tentacles or the eye can be killed, only temporarily neutralized.

Rat

Normally not dangerous, they pose a threat once Duke gets shrinked - Common enemies - Listings - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Normally not dangerous, they pose a threat once Duke gets shrinked. They attack by jumping at you with their teeth and usually in groups. One pistol shot is enough to kill them.

When Duke isn't shrinked, he can stomp on these rodents, put them into microwaves, throw or even "squeeze out" ;)

Cycloid Emperor

You will come across the Emperor twice throughout the game - at the very beginning and at the end - Bosses - Listings - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You will come across the Emperor twice throughout the game - at the very beginning and at the end. The first one is just a warm-up, but it shows what you can expect.

The emperor attacks with rockets and a energy "shock wave" which can knock Duke down to the ground. Additionally if you get too close to him, he might try stomping on you or grab and throw to the ground.

In order to kill the Cycloid, you first need to weaken him enough for him to fall on his knees, approach him, interact and follow the commands displayed on screen.

The method during the last fight stays the same, however you will need to repeat this action three times. Only rockets and explosive materials are effective against the Cycloid.

[Chapter 5.1 and 5.23]

Mothership

The Mothership is a large, flying fortress equipped with three laser cannons - Bosses - Listings - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

The Mothership is a large, flying fortress equipped with three laser cannons. One of them is pointed towards you and is the ship's only weak point.

The fortress itself won't attack you, but Fighters and Dropships will keep flying out of it.

If you won't destroy the ship in time, you will be directly attacked by the laser in front of you which won't end well.

[Chapter 5.4]

Battlelord

Just like the Cycloid, you will have to fight this enemy twice as well - Bosses - Listings - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Just like the Cycloid, you will have to fight this enemy twice as well. The fight itself is similar as well: first you need to drop the giant to his knees and then finish him off by following the commands displayed on the screen.

The Battlelord's main weapon is a giant minigun, capable of shooting grenades as well. Additionally the Battlelord might kick a car wreck or a barrel towards you.

The first meeting in Las Vegas requires only one "weakening" and is also made easier thanks to the "pillar" around which you can run to avoid shots.

The second meeting at the Hoover Dam will require you to weaken the Battlelord twice. Additionally you will be able to hide from his attacks only behind car wrecks, which he can kick at you.

Only rockets and explosive materials are effective against the Battlelord.

[Chapter 5.6]

Alien Queen

You will meet the Queen by the stadium on which you fought the Emperor during the prologue - Bosses - Listings - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You will meet the Queen by the stadium on which you fought the Emperor during the prologue.

This three-breasted monster will attack you with energy shots, "melee" attacks and eggs, from which Pregnators hatch. By the end of the fight she will also call in Octabrains that will try to intercept your missiles and throw them back at you.

At the beginning the Queen will be protecting with her limbs - in order to make her expose herself, you have to throw a pipe bomb at one of the springboards on the sides of the arena and detonate it once it's beside her. After some time the Queen will stop protecting - Octabrains will appear then.

[Chapter 5.9]

Octaking

You will meet this flying giant for the first time by the end of the first part of The Forkstop - Bosses - Listings - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You will meet this flying giant for the first time by the end of the first part of The Forkstop. In order to defeat him you will need the nearby machinegun post. His attacks aren't much different than the tactic used by Octabrains, but are of a bigger calibre.

The second meeting will take place by the end of the second level of Generator Room. The fight itself will be longer and you will have a Devastator with infinite ammo at your disposal.

After the first, supposed death, Octaking will regain his health and will try to draw you to him together with the whole platform you're on. One Devastator clip will do the job.

[Chapter 5.18.1 and 5.19]

Energy Leech

The Leech is the second to last boss - Bosses - Listings - Duke Nukem Forever - Game Guide and Walkthrough

The Leech is the second to last boss. You will come across it during Blowin' the Dam. The Leech has three attacks. The first one is an energy ball similar to the ones that Octabrains shoot at you, but faster. The second is an attempt to crush you with its own body. The hardest attack is the "whirl" it creates to draw you into its jaws.

The hardest part about this fight is the sole nature of the level. While underwater your movements are slow and you have to breath in air often. Luckily air bubbles can be found on the way to EDF crates which you will be visiting often to restock on RPG ammo.
