This unofficial guide to Destiny mostly consists of detailed description of all the most important elements, thus making it significantly easier to start your adventure with the game. In this guide you will find information about, among others, details on character creation process. All available character classes (Titan, Hunter, and Warlock) are described, as well as their special abilities and equipment. The guide also includes information on the locations visited in the game and interactions with other players (cooperative or competitive). A large part of the guide consists of a walkthrough of the storyline missions and the description of side quests and random events. Thanks to this guide, you will learn what types of missions there are in the game, what is the Tower, as well as how to use specific materials. The whole thing is enriched with maps of selected locations with important places marked on them (merchants, mission givers, etc.), and a list of all available achievements/trophies. Destiny is a game developed by Bungie Software Studios, which in the past was made famous mainly thanks to Halo series. This time you play as a Guardian, who travels across the galaxy and takes part in exciting adventures. Destiny puts great emphasis on playing with others, although it is also possible to play alone. Most missions can be done in co-op, but there is also a PvP mode that allows battling against living opponents.

It is noteworthy that some information is displayed on the screen only in specific situations. For example, the experience bar appears only when the character performs an action rewarded with experience points.

Choosing a race does not affect abilities - Character creation - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughChoosing a race does not affect abilities

After starting the game, you'll have to create a new character. Firstly, you have to select your class. It's the most important decision as it affects your abilities and equipment. All classes have been described in a separate chapter of this guide.

When you choose your class, you'll see a screen where you can customize your appearance. Destiny offers you three races - Human, Awoken (humanoids with blue skin) and Exo (intelligent machines). You also have to select your gender.

Note - Choosing race and gender does not affect your character's skills and challenges in the game.

Destiny offers a wide range of options in terms of customizing a character - Character creation - Destiny - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Destiny offers a wide range of options in terms of customizing a character.

The following features are also purely visual. You can modify your character's face (Face, Hair, Head Feature) and add Marks.

Note - The game lets you have several characters, you can choose them from the main menu. I recommend creating one character of each class.

Class selection screen - Character classes - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughClass selection screen

Destiny offers the player three character classes - Titan, Hunter and Warlock. Class must be chosen in the very beginning of the game, i.e. while creating a new character. The classes vary in terms of available abilities. Armors, weapons and some pieces of equipment are different for each class as well.

Once you select the class, it can't be changed. You can, however, choose a Subclass. For example, a Titan can be either a Striker or a Defender. Each subclass has a different set of skills related to movement, combat, using grenades and special attacks.

You can unlock new abilities when you gain experience points. - Character classes - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou can unlock new abilities when you gain experience points.

Character development in Destiny resembles ones from similar games. Completing tasks and defeating enemies gives you experience points. Collecting enough of them unlocks new skills for a specific subclass. For some of them, you have to select a button (special attacks), others just work automatically (for example, passive skills).

Striker subclass special attack is excellent for eliminating groups of opponents - Titan - Character classes - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughStriker subclass special attack is excellent for eliminating groups of opponents

Titan is the most offensive of all character classes available in the game, and specializes in use of heavy armor and weapons of large fire power. If you choose this class, from the very start your character will have Strength attribute increased, which results in improved endurance. In combat, Titans rely on their fists. They also have a unique element of outfit called Titan Mark, which represents their affiliation.

Two subclasses available to Titans are: Striker and Defender. Striker subclass is available from the start. Its special attack is very effective in eliminating groups of enemies who stand close to one another. Defender subclass is available from experience level 15. Its special attack creates a shield around the hero and his allies, which protects them from enemy attacks.

Below there is a list of Titan class abilities available for both subclasses:

Lift - jump, then press jump button again while in the air to activate Lift.

Different colors stand for a weapons value - Weapons - Equipment - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughDifferent colors stand for a weapon's value

The arsenal of weapons available in Destiny is very extensive. It consists of various types of pistols, shotguns, and rifles (assault, sniper, pulse, etc.). All weapons available in the game are described with several basic statistics, such as Impact, Range, Stability, and Reload. Moreover, a given weapon may be characterized by additional parameters, such as a chance of setting targets ablaze or being able to deal more damage to certain types of monsters.

Like e.g. in Diablo series, acquired weapons fall into several quality categories represented by colors:

  • white weapons - category 1 (the lowest)
  • green weapons - category 2
  • purple weapons - category 3
  • gold weapons - category 4 (the highest)

Note! The higher the category, the less chance of finding a weapon of the kind. Moreover, many items of the higher categories can be used only after meeting specific requirements, for example, only when you reach a higher experience level. Fortunately, the game allows you to store weapons in safe locations so that they did not take up space in your inventory when there is no need for them.

An example of a special weapon - Weapons - Equipment - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughAn example of a special weapon

Another important division refers to placement of weapons in the inventory. Weapons are grouped into three main categories:

  • Primary weapons - the main type of weapons. They're divided into Auto Rifles, Hand Cannons, Scout Rifles and Pulse Rifles. They use white ammo.
  • Special Weapons - a category that consists of Sniper Rifles, Shotguns and Fusion Rifles. They use green ammo.
  • Heavy Weapons - various Rocket Launchers and Machine Guns with a lot of firepower. They use purple ammo.

Obviously, it is highly recommended to use a wide variety of weapons, so that they properly fill one another's lacks. For example, if your main weapon is an assault rifle, which is mainly used for fighting over a distance, it would be good that your special weapon was e.g. a shotgun. This would help you to get rid of enemies who, despite your sincere efforts, manage to get close to you.

You can either find new weapons or buy them - Weapons - Equipment - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou can either find new weapons or buy them

New weapons can be obtained in several ways. First and foremost, you should look for items dropped by killed opponents, as well as for various boxes, which may hide new guns. Apart from that, it is good to often visit the Tower. While in there, you can browse what local merchants have to offer and buy weapons from them. Moreover, you should regularly visit Master Rahool to identify unknown weapon models found by your hero (Encrypted Engram).

An exemplary Hunters outfit - Armors - Equipment - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughAn exemplary Hunter's outfit

Armors used in Destiny have been divided into four parts that can be upgraded:

  • Helmet
  • Gauntlets
  • Chest Armor
  • Leg Armor

All armor elements are described with Defense points. The points of all parts are added up (helmet + gauntlets + chest armor + leg armor), so you can see your "global" defense in the status screen.

Aside from improving the defense, better armor can have other features, e.g. more lightning resistance. Just like weapons, they have been divided into several categories of quality marked with various colors:

  • white armor element - category 1 (worst)
  • green armor element - category 2
  • blue armor element - category 3
  • purple armor element - category 4
  • golden armor element - category 5 (best)

Note: The higher the armor's category, the harder it is to find. Many items of higher types can only be used after meeting specific requirements like leveling up. Luckily, the game allows you to store the armors in safe locations so they don't clutter your inventory.

Note: Just like weapons, new parts of armor can be found in the game (items dropped by enemies and found in crates) or bought in the Tower.

A skillfully thrown grenade can significantly improve your chances on the battlefield - Grenades and special attacks - Equipment - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughA skillfully thrown grenade can significantly improve your chances on the battlefield

Whichever character class you chose at the beginning of the game, your character can use two unique pieces of equipment, namely, hand grenades and special attacks. A common thing about the two elements is that they both go on cooldown whenever you use them. Thus, it is most advisable to use them when they may prove the most useful, for example, during a boss fight or when the controlled character is surrounded by a large group of opponents.

Note - Both grenades and special attacks come in many varieties (e.g. incendiary , stun, or energy grenades), whereas at any given time only one can be set. Grenades and special attacks should be selected on the spot basing on the type of opponents whom you are going to encounter in the next mission or in the given location of the game world.

Vehicles are used to move around quickly - Other - Equipment - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughVehicles are used to move around quickly

Other elements of your character's inventory are mainly Vehicles and Spaceships. Vehicles can only be used for traversing the surface of planets and moons. It is best to use them to quickly reach faraway mission objectives or to flee from areas that suddenly became very dangerous. Spacecrafts, according to their name, are used for travelling through space.

Every character is also equipped with a device called Ghost. It is a small floating object, endowed with artificial intelligence. Its main use is to set a route to the current objective, however, in some situations the Ghost can also be used e.g. to uncover blocked passages.

An exemplary planet map - Galaxy - Exploration - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughAn exemplary planet map

Exploration of the game world in Destiny is done at two levels. The first one are intergalactic travels - for that purpose you have to use the spaceship you own. The only way to open a galaxy map is to return to an orbit.

Once the game successfully loads the galaxy map, you can plan your next journey, by selecting e.g. another planet or the Tower as your destination. Depending on the type of location, either you will be immediately transferred to the place or a separate map will be loaded (e.g. a selected sector on the planet surface), where you can further specify your destination (e.g. main mission objective).

The Ghost can show you the way to the current objective - Planets, moons and stations - Exploration - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe Ghost can show you the way to the current objective

Exploration of planets, moons, and space stations is not too complicated. You cannot always use a map of a region prepared by the game, but in order to reach the places you want you can use a help of the Ghost. If you are currently doing a mission, the artificial intelligence will be indicating the destination you must reach next. It is worth noting that this is not always the final destination, since many important areas are interconnected with mazes of corridors, and it is there where you have to get in the first place. If, in turn, you decide to freely explore a given sector, the Ghost can e.g. indicate starting location of a potential side mission.

In Destiny loot does not come in such large quantities as e - Materials and loot - Destiny - Game Guide and Walkthrough

In Destiny loot does not come in such large quantities as e.g. in Borderlands or Diablo series, but this does not mean of course that you should not look for it. First and foremost, new items can be obtained by killing enemies, as some of them drop more or less valuable items. Moreover, while exploring the game world it is good to look for boxes with loot, similar to the one shown in the picture above.

An exemplary plant which can be used as a material - Materials and loot - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughAn exemplary plant which can be used as a material

Definitely, the most important material in the game is Glimmer, which serves as a universal currency in Destiny. Glimmer can be found in the game world, and also is awarded for eliminating opponents and doing missions. This material can then be used for purchasing new weapons, armor, and other valuable items.

Note - Glimmer is counted toward a common stack. It is not reserved for one particular hero, so when you switch to another character you created, you can immediately use the previously accumulated stock of the material.

There are also other materials in the game, including various kinds of plants, which you can actively look for. Having these resources at your disposal is often required for earning reputation in some factions or upgrading Legendary and Exotic weapons.

In the Tower you can e.g. buy things, take new missions, and meet other players - The Tower - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughIn the Tower you can e.g. buy things, take new missions, and meet other players

The Tower is one of the most important locations in Destiny. It serves as a base of operations and it is the place worth coming back to after each long journey. The Tower is considered a safe sanctuary, so you do not have to worry about encountering enemies or hostile players here. Instead, a lot of activities await you here, the most important of which being:

  • Making purchases from merchants - Their offer is very diverse. E.g. you can buy new weapons, armor, emblems, or spaceships.
  • Taking new missions - This refers to both main missions as well as minor jobs received from factions.
  • Storing items that you have no use of at the moment - You can put them in the Vault.
  • Receiving messages - You receive them from Postmaster.
  • Meeting other players - You can check their progress, invite them to your Fireteam or add to your friends list.

Note! If you have troubles with finding your way around the Tower, talk to one of the drones residing there. This will display a map with your position and the important NPC's marked on it.

The remaining characters in the Tower are:

  • Kadi 55-30 - You can receive new messages from him (Postmaster).
  • Xander 99-40 - You can take new Bounties from him. Each one of them has set requirements (e.g. finish a mission without dying). Rewards for scoring Bounties are: experience points, reputation, or honor.

Before starting a story mission, you can select its difficulty level - Story missions - Types of missions - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughBefore starting a story mission, you can select its difficulty level

You can play story missions solo or with other players. After selecting a mission from the galaxy map or a planet map, you need to determine its level of difficulty. If you select a higher difficulty level, you will have to cope with stronger opponents. Moreover, your character's armor will be weakened and the effectiveness of his weapons reduced.

Note - Story missions can be replayed many times in order to e.g. earn extra experience points or once again face previously defeated bosses (they often drop valuable items).

A story mission summary screen - Story missions - Types of missions - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughA story mission summary screen

After the end of each mission, its full summary is displayed. You get information about e.g. gained experience points and gathered Glimmer, character's progress, how many opponents were killed and how many times the controlled character died. You can compare your results with those of other players who took part in the mission.

Note - Doing story missions is often rewarded by extra prizes (such as better weapons or armor). These items can be claimed from designated persons residing in the Tower.

Exploration missions do not have a single pre-stated objective - Exploration missions - Types of missions - Destiny - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Exploration missions do not have a single pre-stated objective. Their primary goal is to promote free exploration of related locations, allowing you to engage in randomly generated side missions. In order to reach starting points of the aforementioned side missions it is best to use a help of the Ghost. Once you locate a flashing marker (an example of this is on the picture above) you have to confirm that you want to do the mission.

In one type of missions you have to gather items dropped by enemies - Exploration missions - Types of missions - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughIn one type of missions you have to gather items dropped by enemies

The list below presents the most common types of side missions:

  • Analyzing trails - You have to get to a set location, clear it out if necessary, and analyze trails.
  • Reconnaissance of the enemy numbers - You have to get to a set vintage point and stay there until the reconnaissance is over. This is made difficult by possible enemy attacks that the character is vulnerable to.
  • Eliminating enemies - You have to kill enemies until the percentage progress bar is full.
  • Killing a strong enemy - You have to get to a hideout/lair of a designated enemy and have your share in eliminating him.
  • Reconnaissance of a location - You have to get to a location set by the game (e.g. dungeons) and stay there until the percentage progress bar is full.
  • Transmit data - You have to get to a set location, clear it out if necessary, and transmit data.
  • Collecting items - You have to eliminate a particular type of enemies (e.g. Hive) and collect the items they drop until the percentage progress bar is full.

Control match - Crucible - Types of missions - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughControl match

Crucible mode allows you to play PvP matches on special maps. The gameplay is not very different from other modes, but here you fight against other players, not computer-controlled characters. Crucible offers several game modes - each of them has its own rules, objectives and number of players. During the match, players use all of their equipment, weapons and abilities. Levels are balanced so a player on level 20 can be killed by someone on level 2. To unlock Crucible, just get one character to level 5 and this mode will be unlocked for all current and future characters.

Crucible has its own faction and rare items available for a special currency - Crucible Marks. Players get 3 Crucible Marks for every game they win, 2 for a lost one. They can be exchanged in The Tower with Arcite 99-40 or Lord Shaxx for powerful legendary weapons. You can earn up to 100 Crucible Marks every week and only players on level 18 or higher get them. You can improve your rank with Crucible faction. They have three ranks for 1500, 2000 and 2500 reputation points. The higher your rank, the better equipment you can get. You can earn points by completing Crucible quests (bounties).

Boom! - Crucible - Types of missions - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughBoom!

Crucible has various game modes that you can select in the navigation screen. Below you can see a brief description of all modes:

  • Clash - mode for up to 12 players divided into two teams that fight to earn the most kills.
  • Control - mode based on controlling three points on the map. Two teams face each other, six players each. The objective is to get 20 000 points. Team members get 100 points for killing an enemy, 25 points for neutralizing enemy point and 75 points for capturing a point.
  • Rumble - "free-for-all" fight where 6 players fight against each other. The player with most points wins.
  • Skirmish - mode for six players divided into two teams. Players fight to have the most points for kills. Unlike Clash mode, players can revive their teammates and get 50 points for it.

Our tank - Raid - Types of missions - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughOur tank

Raid is a co-op mode for a group of 6 high-level players. Unlike Strike, raids don't show you objectives and make the team figure out what to do. That's why playing raids requires creating your own team, without the possibility to play with random people. Creating your own team is also necessary because of a very high difficulty that requires a high level of cooperation between teammates.

Missions can be done on two levels of difficulty: Normal and Hard. Normal is good for playing for the first time as it lets the players learn objectives and gameplays, as well as creating strategies. Hard mode gets unlocked after you complete the mission on Normal. The enemies get much more difficult and penalties for teammates' death are higher. The players will get special items for completing a raid. Each mission has one set of armor and one legendary weapon of each type. Raids can be done any number of times, but you only get special equipment once a week.

One of the objectives - Strike - Types of missions - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughOne of the objectives

Strikes are co-op missions for 3 players. Just like Story, Strikes have a recommended level and objectives set in advance. The players have to complete various tasks while fighting large groups of enemies and one or few bosses. Strikes don't start in a closed location. The team can explore the world and start the challenge when they want to. After you go to the mission's area, the team will be transported to a closed space and start a Strike.

Aside from regular Strikes, their three special types are also available: Vanguard Strike, Heroic Strike and Nightfall Strike. The first one is connected to Vanguard faction and lets you go on random Strike missions with a higher difficulty. The players will get Vanguard points and reputation that let them get equipment from this faction. Heroic and Nightfall are weekly Strikes that don't support random teams. They have a much higher level of difficulty and modifiers that introduce additional game mechanics. Heroic requires level 22, Nightfall - 28.

Events are one of the most interesting features in Destiny. They are activated at random moments, also during story and side missions. Joining the event is entirely optional, but if you ignore them, you will lose a chance of earning a large amount of experience points or acquiring valuable items. The vast majority of events focuses on close cooperation between several players, because doing them solo is usually very difficult. An additional difficulty is that in most cases events have time limits.

Defeating a Walker may be impossible without other players help - Events - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughDefeating a Walker may be impossible without other players' help

An example of an Event is having to defeat an enemy Walker, i.e. a big mech. Players have to hit weak points of the gigantic machine and at the same time avoid its fire, because even a single shot can kill a Guardian.

You can be rewarded even if you fail to complete a given mission in 100 per cent - Events - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughYou can be rewarded even if you fail to complete a given mission in 100 per cent

Another popular Event is preventing a powerful opponent from reaching consecutive checkpoints. Once again co-operation between players is the key to success. Interestingly, you can get a reward even if you do not manage to stop the opponent but only slow down his progress.

After a several-second-intermission you can go back to battle - Health bar and characters death - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughAfter a several-second-intermission you can go back to battle

Destiny uses automatically regenerated health bar, which, however, can be rebuilt only when the character is not currently under attack and is not receiving any damage. Health bar appears on the screen only when the controlled character is being attacked. Additionally, more serious damage is indicated by red spots appearing on the screen, which suggest that you need to find cover as soon as possible.

Reducing the health bar to zero results in death of the character, however, the consequences of that are not severe. Namely, you have to wait a few seconds until respawn, and after you press the assigned button, you can resume fighting in the same location (without having to return to one of the previous checkpoints).

After a short intro, you will be welcomed by your first friend - Ghost. Get used to its appearance and voice, as this little droid will be accompanying you for the rest of the storyline and beyond. It has a couple of very helpful functions that will prove useful for many purposes, like navigation and displaying mission objectives, flashlight in dark places, as well as summoning vehicles.

The first mission introduces you to the game and its core features. You start without any weapon, an empty inventory, and a basic armor for your class. You will get a weapon during the introductory mission, and by the end of it you should also have gained a new level as well as your first class ability - grenade.

To display the current mission destination or open access to some of Ghost's functions, press navigation button (PS3/PS4: Select/Touch, X360/XOne: Back). After a while you will get to the wall. Go through the broken door into the building, and then take the stairs to the upper floor.

Climb up the stairs on the other side of the catwalk, and then walk straight. Wait for a moment while Ghost is turning on the light, then go to the corridor on the right and pick up the rifle (Khvostov 7G-02) that is laying against a blue box.

These are the basic units of The Fallen, whom you are going to fight in the first stages of the game. Eliminate them and run on. At the second turn right, another Dreg will attack you. Use melee attack (PS3/PS4: R1, X360/XOne: RT), to get rid of him with a single strike and clear your way.

After a moment you will get to a small hall, where a Vandal and 3 Dregs will attack you. Start by killing the first one, preferably from a distance, and then take on the Dregs. Each of them goes down with a single melee attack.

Head on straight, and walk across a small catwalk. On the other side you will find a Loot Chest. Open it to receive 48x Glimmers (in-game currency) and a special weapon, depending on your character class. Weapons of the type use green ammunition, which is dropped by opponents more rarely than white ammunition (primary weapon), that is why you should use it sparingly.

Go down, and you will see a long corridor full of mines with laser sensors. Crouch down (PS3/PS4: Circle, X360/XOne: B) and crawl under the lasers, while eliminating incoming Dregs. Once you exit this hellish corridor, you will get into a large hall with a large welcome committee waiting for you, consisting of Vandals and Dregs. Eliminate them one by one, making good use of covers, and when the battle music finally stops, walk through the door on the other side of the room. Walk along the tunnel until you get to the surface again.

Here you will find an open door to a garage, where you will be attacked by a group of Dregs and a new type of enemy - small battle drones called Shank. Clear the garage off the opponents and walk inside the building.

On the other side of a short corridor, you will get to a flooded hall with old computers and a large group of enemies. If you already have the second experience level, use your class grenade to eliminate the first group, and the second one - in the next room - can be dealt with using standard ammo.

The next and last room contains the ship you were looking for and a mini-boss, who guards it - Rahn, Devil Captain. First deal with his squad consisting of Dregs and Vandas, while evading their leader. Once all of his companions drop dead, focus your fire on the captain. Rahn has two abilities: self-regenerating shield and blink. The latter he uses mainly for dodging, while the shield protects him from attacks and can regenerate, if he is not receiving damage for some time. Besides, the shield regenerates much faster if it is not fully down. Destroy the enemy shield, and then keep up the fire not to allow for its regeneration. Also, keep changing your position so the opponent did not get too close. After the mini-boss dies a cut-scene launches and the mission ends.

The crash scene - Restoration - Earth - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe crash scene

Required level: 2 lvl

Team: 1-3 players

This mission starts at a small hill in The Steppes. You can freely roam around the area in order to collect raw materials, fight with randomly generated groups of opponents, and look for hidden chests. While exploring the world in Story mode you may, however, come across some limitations, that is why Patrol mode is best for that purpose - more on that can be found in the chapter devoted to game modes.

Head toward the mission marker, on the opposite from the path down the hill, on the other side of this location. There you will come across a crushed ship and a small group of enemies, consisting of Vandals, Dregs, and Shanks. Clear the crash scene, and then approach the ship and command your droid to scan it (PS3/PS4: Square, X360/XOne: X), after which you will get another mission objective.

You need to get through to the entrance, guarded by a large squad of The Fallen. Eliminate them, enter the building, and then walk down the stairs to the underground section of this location. Eliminate another group of Shanks, Vandals, and Dregs, and then scan the map down here.

When you get the next objective, take the same way back to the surface, and then turn right from the hangar exit. You will see a small, partly collapsed building standing against the wall. Go toward it.

Enter the devastated building and keep walking straight passing consecutive rooms. After a while you will enter a so-called Darkness Zone, i.e. a closed location where players cannot respawn. This location is includes of the hall known from the previous mission, where again you have to fight a powerful enemy, this time a full-scale boss.

Start by eliminating a small squad of Vandals, Shanks and Dreds. Once you clear the room, the boss himself will jump out of a hole in the wall - Riksis, Devil Archon. This opponent has an enormous amount of health, and wields a grenade launcher, which is able to shoot 3 small missiles that deal high damage upon direct hit. Moreover, the opponent is accompanied by a small team of Vandali, who can really interfere with the boss fight, and their numbers are renewed after you eliminate one group of minions, with just a short break between the consecutive waves.

Smoldering Riksis - Restoration - Earth - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughSmoldering Riksis

Eliminate the weaker opponents, and then focus your fire on the boss. Try to keep a safe distance from him, by attacking the opponent from the far end of the room. His missiles deal high damage, but they are rather slow and easy to evade, that is why fighting over distance is advantageous. If the situation becomes critical - you get surrounded or are nearly dead - you can always retreat into the room from where you came. The opponents will not follow you, thus enabling you to recover health and abilities undisturbed. Also, try to ignore the next wave of Vandals, and concentrate on the boss himself and eliminate only the most annoying opponents. Once Riksis is defeated a countdown toward the end of mission will begin, after which you get back to your ship on the orbit.

After you get past several rooms, you will get into the Darkness Zone that you have already seen in the previous missions, where it is forbidden to restore to life and in the case of the demise, the character respawns in the most recently saved location. Enter the next room and approach the locked door marked as the objective for the mission. Activate the button on the wall to summon Ghosta and open the sealed gate. Climb up the stairs to the next level.

Before you enter the next room, reload the weapon and make sure that your health bar, and the powers, are full. From now on, until the end of the mission, you will have to fight your way through more and more waves of the hostile Fallen. Additionally, the first room is completely shrouded in darkness, which is why you will have to use your flashlight while fighting. If you have the Auto Rifle or a Shotgun, equip it and head forward.

Inside, you will be attacked by several Acolytes and Thralls. The former prefer fighting at a range and use plasma weapons for that, where Thralls attack in melee, in waves of 3-4 and they are incredibly fast. However, after you discharge 2-3 shots at them, or hit them once in melee, they die. First of all, go to the center of the room and quickly, retreat towards the entrance. Then, start taking out the Thralls charging at you. After you have dealt with the shrieking enemies, climb up the stairs on the left of the entrance and start taking out the Acolytes behind the covers, who are occupying the upper level of the room. Once the music and the motion sensor calm down, enter the staircase at the other side of the room and climb up to the next part of the complex.

Gotr is levitating above the battlefield - The Dark Within - Earth - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughGotr is levitating above the battlefield

At the top floor of the observatory you will have to fight not only Thralls and Acolytes, but also the boss named Gotr, Eir Spawn. He is a powerful mage who, apart from the ability to levitate above the battlefield, also can fire magical projectiles that deal quite a lot of damage. Additionally, just like the majority of the stronger opponents, Gotr has a regenerative shield that you need to destroy to harm him, in the first place.

Start the battle by eliminating the charging Thralls and clear the first room of the Acolytes staying there. Once the area is clear, reload the weapon and walk into the next room, where you start the boss battle. Before you attack the boss himself, eliminate the wave of Thralls, who jump out from above, as well as the Acolytes lurking around. Do not kill all of the minor opponents, because new ones will be coming, every now and then, up until the boss dies. Once you ensure yourself with relative freedom of movement, turn your fire to Gotr. This opponent deals considerable damage with his projectiles but, in himself, he is not too tough. This is why, several magazines of ammo, fired at him, should get the job done. At all times, use covers that take on his projectiles, whereas you attack whenever it is safe. Keep an eye on the surroundings to make sure that no Acolyte or Thrall jumps at you unexpectedly. The boss's death starts the countdown until the end of the mission.

There are 4 waves for you to defeat. The first three consists of Dregs, Vandals, Schanks (drones) and 2 Captains. With the last wave, some new, strong enemies come- Servitors. They resemble airborne violet spheres and their power is to strengthen the opponents around them and the single projectiles that they fire, which explode on impact. There will be 2 such Servitors and several Dregs. They are quite tough, which is why it is best to leave them for the end and eliminate them one-by-one. If your health is drained or, you simply need to catch your breath, you simply need to retreat to the staircase that you came in from. The opponents do not follow you there, thanks to which you will be able to regenerate your health and powers without being disturbed.

After you kill the last one of the enemies, approach the machine that Ghost has been scanning and fire several times at the blinking part on top. This will destroy the machine and the mission will be complete.

Head towards the light and, after a while, you will walk out into a big yard with huge amounts of Dregs, Shanks, Vandals and the Captain. Eliminate the first group from inside of the last room, by shooting through the smashed window. Also, you can use the other window on the right wall, to eliminate some of the opponents occupying the farther part of the location. Then, walk into the yard to eliminate the remnants. For the whole time watch out for the possible snipers that may lurk among the containers. They are incredibly accurate and they deal lots of damage.

After you have made sure that the yard is clear, head towards the passage at the other side of the yard. As soon as you come close, Stealth Vandals with swords will jump at you from inside. Deal with them, while keeping a safe distance, enter the building and kill the second Captain, who is guarding your objective.

Secure the Array

The defense position - The Last Array - Earth - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe defense position

Before you activate the computer, make sure that your health is full, your powers ready and all your weapons reloaded. Just like in the previous mission, also here you will fight the incoming waves of enemies. They will jump out of the ships, or from the dark corridors on both sides of the square. A good defense point is the small elevation to the right of the computer. To get there to you, the enemies need to walk up the stairs (usually the staircase that is closer to the entrance), which will enable you to eliminate them easily.

As soon as you are ready, activate the console and climb up the stairs to the abovementioned elevation. Keep close to the stairs and eliminate the enemies that appear. Use the red pillar as your cover and, if too many opponents enter, retreat and hide behind the bigger column.

A Hive Brute - The Last Array - Earth - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughA Hive Brute

You will now fight against the Hive, which is why you should get ready for the hordes of Thralls that fight in melee, and plasma rifle wielding Acolytes. Also, there will appear a Wizard here, who fights while levitating, has a regenerative shield and magic projectiles. He can also release a small cloud of gas that poisons you and temporarily deals damage to you. He does not fly into the room, which is why you will have to get off the elevation. Still, you do not need to walk out, into the middle of the square and only stand in the door and fire at him from behind the corner. Finally, you will encounter two new enemies: Knight and Hallowed Knight. The former fights with a huge sword, deals lots of damage but is quite slow and not too tough. The other one functions as the boss of this mission. He appears towards the end of the battle and is incredibly resistant to damage, and attacks with a huge grenade launcher, whose projectiles explode on impact. Additionally, he can form an indestructible shield that disappears after several seconds. Just like the Knight, he is slow, thanks to which it is easier to keep a safe distance and avoid the lethal projectiles.

After you defeat the Hallowed Knight you will be summoned by your Ghost. Approach the computer to start the countdown and end this mission.

The lunar base and the first objective - The Dark Beyond - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe lunar base and the first objective

Recommended level: 6 lvl (Normal)/9 lvl (Hard)

Team: 1-3 players

Welcome to the moon. It is not much different from the Earth. The rules and game mechanics are, nearly, identical and the only difference is the landscape. In the first mission, you will get to know the first three locations on the Moon and you will drive a new land vehicle that belongs to The Fallen.

Track the Guardian

The unit commander - The Dark Beyond - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe unit commander

You start the mission in Archer's Line. Follow up the path and soon, you will see a quite big facility. Follow The mission marker and enter through the main door, into the biggest of the buildings. Jump down, approach the console and activate it with the Ghost.

Right after you activate the console, you will be attacked by a group of Dregs, Vandals wearing camo and one Captain. Fight your way towards the building's exit and eliminate their commander, who should be standing on a small platform to the left of the entrance. A moment after he dies, there will appear two ships of the Fallen here and new waves of enemies will launch at you, led by a Captain. Deal with them to receive another objective.

At this point, it is a good idea to get a means of transport. You can summon your Sparrow or kill one of the Dregs that come here on their vehicles - Pikes. Unlike Sparrow, the vehicles of the Fallen are armed with a machine gun (PS3/PS4: R2, X360/XOne: RT) and they can strafe to the left and to the right (PS3/PS4: L1/L2, X360/XOne: LB/RB). If you want to try one out, shoot down one of the Dregs (aim at the opponent instead of at the vehicle), jump onto the speeder and head towards the mission marker, while eliminating possible enemies.

After a while, you will reach a new location - Anchor of Light. What you are interested in is the small round building opposite the passage into this location. To get inside, you need to approach from the left side of the structure and climb inside over the collapsed sleeve. Activate the console at the other side of the room, jump outside and follow the narrow path towards the mission marker.

Find the Temple of Crota

After a short walk, you will reach a huge gate and a Guardian's corpse at it. Activate the Ghost on the corpse to start a short cutscene. As soon as it ends, you will make it into a Darkness Zone. retreat upstairs, towards the exit and hide behind one of the rocks. After several seconds, a horde of Hive enemies will emerge from the Temple: Thralls, Acolytes and a Knight. The opponents will be coming in waves, one after another. First of all, focus on eliminating Thralls, and then, turn to the sluggish Knight and the Acolytes scattered all around the place.

After you have cleared the area, which will be brought to your attention by means of the Ghost's signal, take a short break to reload and regenerate your powers. Then, Head into the temple. Deal with the Hive remnants, i.e. several Acolytes, climb onto the platform above and start the boss battle. Your opponent here is a powerful Wizard Vurok, Eir Spawn. He fights just like all the rest of the opponents of this type, i.e. with magic projectiles and poisonous clouds that he releases onto the ground occasionally. He also has a regenerative shield that you need to destroy, before you deal any damage to him.

Once the opponent turns to ash, approach the dead Ghost and activate it to complete this mission.

In the next mission on the moon, you visit a huge underground necropolis of the Hive. You are deployed in Archer's Line, and your first objective is inside a destroyed building near the starting point. Jump onto your speeder and head towards the mission marker.

Enter the Hive Fortress

Twins - The Worlds Grave - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughTwins

Before you enter the building, you will have to eliminate several pesky Dregs and Vandals. Then, cross through the big hole at the other side of the room and follow the path towards the ruins. You will find 2 Hallowed Knights with grenade launchers there. You can either fight with them or dash by and jump into the ruins entrance, which will allow you to avoid the fight. Climb down from the bridge and follow the small rocky corridor to reach the hidden fortress.

In the first big chamber, there is a quite big group of opponents: Acolytes, a Knight and a Wizard, who is deeper into the room. First of all, clear the antechamber of the Acolytes and the Knight, and run up towards the oval elevation above which the Wizard, accompanied by Acolytes levitates. Deal with them, reload and walk into the second chamber past the oval elevation.

A ship in a cave - The Worlds Grave - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughA ship in a cave

Do not cross the bridge and attack the Knighta roaming about. this will summon the ship of the Hive, which deploys more opponents: Thralls, Acolytes and a Wizard. Start by eliminating the charging Thralls, while remaining on the safe side of the bridge. Once you deal with the last wave, deal with the Acolytes and the Wizard. The best way to deal with the latter is to use the Heavy Weapon. After you have cleared the other side, walk over the bridge and jump onto the nearby rock immediately, to avoid the projectiles fired by the last opponent- Shrieker. This is a stationary turret that looms above the battlefield and fires a salvo of 6 self-guided projectiles and, if not in the combat mode, it hides in its armor and regenerates slowly. Try to deal with it from as far as possible, because it falls apart after it dies and forms larger projectiles that track you and deal heavy damage on impact.

After you have dealt with the turret, walk over to the corridor at the back. After a while, you will walk into another part of the fortress and into a Darkness Zone.

Conquer the Knight

Once you exit the corridor, you will see a large chamber with an open space and the approaching Hive ship. Jump back into the corridor to hide from the projectile fired by the ship. After it disappear, start eliminating the approaching Acolytes and Knight or Wizard (only either of them appears). After you have dealt with the first group, there will appear another ship here, which will deploy another group. Deal with them and head towards the marker, across a small passage through the wall.

The fight in the arena - The Worlds Grave - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe fight in the arena

Inside, there is a huge arena with several Acolytes, a Wizard and a mini-boss in it - Krannox, The Graven. Krannox is a typical Knight with a grenade launcher, only a bit tougher. Start clearing the arena by eliminating the Acolytes and the Wizard, who is the greatest pain in the neck. Once you have dealt with them, focus on the miniboss. Make use of the surrounding covers and keep running all around the arena to avoid the opponent's projectiles, while firing your weapon at the appropriate moments. After you defeat the opponent, you will receive a key and another objective. Exit from the main hall, turn left and head towards the marker. Keep on the left side, if you want to avoid fighting the random opponents. Cross the door into the corridor and follow towards the next part of the location.

Find the World's Grave

from the corridor, you will walk immediately into a Darkness Zone. Jump down from the platform and enter the tunnel to the left of the huge gate. Halfway through the tunnel, you will run into a quite big group of Thralls. Kill them and continue along your path. After a while, you will walk into another hall with a new group of opponents in it. Clear the room of the hostile Thralls, Acolytes and the Knight with a grenade launcher. Then, climb up the stairs ad walk into the next room. Inside, you will see a group of praying (?) Acolytes and 2 Knights with grenade launchers. Clear the room and approach the machine on the elevation. Reload the weapon and regenerate powers, because you will be jumped by a horde of opponents, after you activate the console.

A smaller part of the horde - The Worlds Grave - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughA smaller part of the horde

The opponents come in two waves and they will emerge from both the main entrance, as well as from the water in the middle of the hall. The first wave is the most difficult, because it consists of large numbers of Thralls, Acolytes, a Knight with a grenade launcher and a Wizard. Focus on the Thralls crawling out of the water and then, hide behind the machine that is being scanned by Ghost and start eliminating the rest of the opponents. You should especially keep an eye on the Wizard, who tends to fly onto your platform and release clouds of toxic fumes. As soon as you get rid of the first wave, there will appear the second one. Again, Thralls will be crawling out of the water and a new type of enemy will appear - Cursed Thrall. They are slower than the regular ones but, if they manage to approach you, they may jump at you and explode, which deals massive damage. They also explode after they die and they wound the nearby players and enemies. Once all Thralls are dead, a Knight with a grenade launcher emerges from the water. Also, two more will enter through the side entrances. Deal with them to defeat the second wave and to start the countdown until the end of the mission.

You start this mission in the Archer's Line. Summon your speeder and head towards the mission marker, which will take you to the part of the Moon called the Hellmouth. Ride around the hole there, avoid fighting the random groups of enemies, until you reach the location that is your first destination.

The first of the four princes

Here, you will encounter a small group of Acolytes and a Knight that are occupying the ruins of the alien race. Deal with them, which will result in the fight against the first one of the Hive's princes - Banuk, Ur Prince. It is a typical knight with a grenade launcher, only tougher. Also, he has quite a company of the Acolytes, which you should deal with in the first place.

After you defeat the first prince, head towards the mission marker, which will take you to another Hive fortress. Kill the small group of the Acolytes here, who are guarding the entrance and do the same with the 3 Knights with grenade launchers, lurking behind the main door. Head deeper into the complex.

After a short walk, you will get into another Darkness Zone and stumble across another group of the Acolytes commanded by the Knight with a grenade launcher. Clear the path and follow the bone corridor towards the next room.

Inside, you will be jumped by the charging Thralls and a Cursed Thrall. Eliminate them from afar and walk deeper into the hall to deal with the army of Acolytes and a levitating Wizard. There are quite a few enemies so, it is best to jump onto one of the passages that provide better cover, and conduct your fire from there to eliminate all of the Acolytes, and finally the Wizard.

The Sword of Pure Fun +3 - The Sword of Crota - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe Sword of Pure Fun +3

After you have cleared the area, approach the glowing sword that levitates close to the massive chain. Yep, soon you will be swinging the beauty around and slash the enemies. As soon as you obtain the sword, enemy Thralls will start coming from across the room. Chop them with two different moves, with the sword: quick, light slashes that can be combined (PS3/PS4: R1, X360/XOne: RB) and the powerful single slashes that deal damage to all the nearby enemies (PS3/PS4: R2, X360/XOne: RT). The latter attack can also be launched in mid-jump and the former allows you to combine slashes in mid air.

After you defeat the first wave of Thralls, a group of Acolytes will jump out of the water, followed by another wave of Thralls, this time they emerge from the passages on both sides of the pond. Only after you deal with the marauders the battle proper commences.

Kill Swarm Princes

The third prince - The Sword of Crota - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe third prince

Your objective is to defeat the three Hive princes, who appear one-by-one, accompanied by small groups of Acolytes. The first one is Garok, Xol Prince. All of the bosses behave in the same way and fight using the swords similar to yours. You can defeat them with the blade that you have obtained, or with the regular weapons. The sword deals considerable damage to them, but the opponents are not passive, as you slash and dice them and they attack also, with attacks that can kill you with 3-4 blows. If you decide to fight with the sword, the best technique to attack the bosses is with the quick slashes, after which you jump onto the higher floor, when the opponent hits you twice. Regenerate your health and repeat. However, if you choose to fight with firearms, throw the sword away (it returns to its initial location), attack the opponents at a distance and jump between the individual floors which will allow you to keep a safe distance.

After you defeat the first boss, another one jumps out of the water- Dakoor, Yul Prince. Clear the battlefield of the pesky Acolytes, and deal with the second prince, with the method of your choice. Repeat the entire process with the third and the fourth prince called Merok, Eir Prince. After his death, the sword is destroyed and countdown until the end of the mission starts.

You need to scan the two cracks in the ground, which will allow the Ghost to create a map of the underground Hive fortress. This first one is right next to the deployment site. Scan the crack and follow the marker to the next one, at the opposite side of the hole. Deal with the group of random opponents (Vandals, Shanks and Dregs) and scan the second crack to progress to the next part of the mission.

Your next destination is the temple that you have visited in the first mission. Jump onto your speeder and follow the marker into the Anchor of Light, and take the path to the very gate of the Temple of Crota.

As soon as you approach the gate, you will see a short cutscene. As soon as you regain control, head across the gate into the temple, where you run into a quite big group of opponents. Apart from the regular Acolytes and a single Knight with a grenade launcher, you encounter a new opponent here - the Ogre. It is a huge monstrosity that attacks you with a beam of projectiles fired from the front of its head. Additionally, as soon as the monster is sufficiently damaged, he can reinforce himself and go into the rage mode, in which he charges at you. Fortunately, it is limited only to the lower level of the hall, which is why you can easily hide at the upper level and bring his health down. The only thing you need to be careful of are his projectiles, because they deal tremendous damage and the opponent fires them at an incredible rate.

Find the chamber

After you have cleared the antechamber, climb down the stairs into the lower part of the temple. You will walk, here, into a big oval hall with strange ship in the center. Clear the exposed parts of the ship, of the Acolytes there and run alongside the wall, while eliminating the incoming Thralls. At the other end of the hall, there is a another group of the Acolytes with a Knight and a Wizard. Kill them and walk into the next room with a ship, along the corridor. Along your path, deal with the 3 Thralls and a Cursed Thrall. As soon as you see the ship, turn right and head towards the opened gate. From behind it, there will emerge 3 Knights with swords and a Cursed Thrall. Eliminate them, while keeping a safe distance, walk through the gate and follow the path until you walk into another room and a Darkness Zone.

As soon as you walk into the room, a Hive ship will emerge from the portal and it will drop more opponents. Clear the room of the Acolytes, Wizard and the Knight with a grenade launcher, and look at the massive gate across the room. From behind, there will appear another group of Acolytes and 3 Knights with swords. Kill them and cross the gate into the next room. Clear it of the several Thralls, Acolytes and a Knight with a grenade launcher, and approach the locked gate marked as the mission's objective.

Destroy the Hive

A saturation attack of the witches - Chamber of Night - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughA saturation attack of the witches

The gate opens as soon as you approach it and, after a while, you will see 3 Siphon Witches that levitate around a strange obelisk. Your next objective is to kill them but, this fight may be troublesome. All three of them behave like Wizards, which means that they levitate above the battlefield, fire magic projectiles and discharge poison fumes onto the ground. The best method of defeating them is fight from the corridor into the ceremonial chamber. Stand behind the door to the corridor and deplete the health of each one of the witches. If they hide behind the corner, approach the opened gate, fire at them several times and return to your positions at the beginning of the corridor.

After you defeat the levitating witches, enter the room. The gate behind you will slams hut but, the gate across the ceremonial hall will open. You will have to fight more waves of opponents. The first one consists of Thralls, 2 Cursed Thralls, Acolytes and 2 Knights with grenade launchers. After you have eliminated them, the main gate opens again and another wave of Acolytes, Thralls, 2 Cursed Thralls and 3 Knights with swords runs out. If you have any problems with them, fight in the corridor, just like you did with the three Siphon Witches. Thanks to this, you will be able to deal with the second and the third wave.

The unborn Ogre - Chamber of Night - Moon - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe unborn Ogre

After you deal with all three waves, you will hear a loud roar and, from behind the gate to the right of the entrance, there will appear a group of Thralls, Acolytes and the main boss of the mission - Telthor, Unborn. It is a massive monster that fights in the same way as the Ogre at the beginning of the mission. The key issue here is to avoid his projectiles and retain as long distance of the monster as possible. Use the nearby columns and covers to your advantage, thanks to which you will be able to avoid his powerful attacks. Then, launch your attacks in between the opponent's individual attacks. Also, watch out for the rage mode, which you are informed about by the red halo around the boss. While in this mode, the boss charges at you and attacks with powerful ground slams, which deal considerable AoE damage.

With The boss defeated, head towards the console on the elevation, to the right of the hall. Use the Ghost to scan the levitating object and listen to what he has to say. After a while, the mission will be over and you return to the ship on the orbit.

Eliminate all the praying Acolytes and jump into the small room under the massive sphere. Activate the Ghost and get ready for a boss battle.

Your main opponent is Sardok, Eye of Oryx. He resembles a Knight, double the size, and he behaves in a very similar way, as he fires explosive projectiles from his huge launcher. He is not too demanding an opponent but, you may have some problems with the rest of the opponents that will keep appearing throughout the battle. As he runs into the room, the boss is accompanied by a small group of Thralls and Acolytes but, the longer the battle, the more powerful opponents will appear in the arena, including Knights and Wizards. For this reason, it is best to focus mainly on Sardok and eliminate only the first wave of Thralls as well as the nearby Acolytes. Keep aiming a your opponent's huge head and stick to covers, to avoid the explosive projectiles. After several hundred of rounds, the opponent should, finally, drop dead, along with the marauders in the room. You only now need to take several shots at the spinning sphere, which ends the last storyline mission on the moon.

Jump onto the speeder and follow the shore, towards the mission marker. Enter the building and clear the room of several Dregs, Vandals and a Servitor. Climb up the stairs to the higher level and activate the console there.

Exit the building and backtrack to the small yard in front of one of the buildings that you missed, along your path to the sensor. Kill the Dregs and Vandals roaming about there and head deeper into the structure, through the tunnel in the ground, right past the main entrance. Walk through the flooded basement and after a while, you will enter into the main hall of the library, which is a Darkness Zone. Approach the white digital column and have Ghost scan it.

Enter the robots - A Strangers Call - Venus - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughEnter the robots

After a while, you will be attacked by a new faction- Vex. They resemble robot-like versions of the opponents of The Fallen and the Hive. The basic unit here are Goblins, whose level is at a par with that of Dregs from The Fallen, but they are much more resistant to damage and move much slower. They usually appear in the battlefield in big tight groups. The other unit are the HobGoblins, which correspond to the Vandals. They are faster than Goblins and they deal more damage and, apart from that, they have the ability to wear a protective field that shields them from any damage, for several seconds. The final unit that appears in the room is the Minotaur. It is a huge robot whose style is similar to that of the Knights with grenade launchers, i.e. he fires explosive projectiles. All the Vex units also are capable of teleporting. They can use this to dodge or to cover longer distances, while chasing you. The best way to eliminate Goblins and HobGoblins is to aim at the glowing cores o their bodies. One well-aimed shot can kill the opponent immediately. As for Minotaurs, it is best to attack their heads. Also, it is worth noting here that, if you shoot a Goblin's or a Hobgoblin's head, he becomes much more aggressive, starts charging and firing blindly.

The Vex units tend to be incredibly aggressive - A Strangers Call - Venus - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe Vex units tend to be incredibly aggressive

As soon as the enemy units appear, jump onto the nearby desk and start exchanging fire with the enemy, aim at the glowing cores of the Goblins. After you have dealt with the first wave, dash behind the shelves on the left and climb up the stairs to the second floor. This is going to gain you an edge against the opponents. After a while, there will appear several HobGoblins and Minotaurs here. Eliminate them and watch out, predominantly, for the projectiles fired by the latter. Do the same with the Goblins, who appear right after the death of the previous wave. These will be followed by several groups of Goblins, HobGoblins and 2 Minotaurs. Eliminate them one by one and stick to the first floor, for the whole time. After you deal with the last group, you will watch a short cutscene that ends the first mission on Venus.

NOTE! After you complete this mission, you gain access to The Reef, where you can go by choosing the location in the orbit window. This location only houses a short missions that is, as a matter of fact, a long cutscene. You need to complete it to unlock the following missions on Venus.

Deal with the first wave of marauders only, because successive waves keep coming, up until the Cyclops is dead. The best way to attack the latter is to attack the eye, at the moment at which he charges his attack. If he takes enough damage at such a moment, he starts firing smaller projectiles in all directions, after which he returns to the basic attack. Several bursts into the eye should get the job done. Collect the item dropped by the Cyclops, summon your vehicle and head towards your next objective in the Waking Ruins.

The first mini-boss - The Archive - Venus - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe first mini-boss

After you walk through several corridors, you will walk into the Hall of Whispers that is a Darkness Zone. IN the hall, there is quite a group of The Fallen stationed, which consists of Dregs, Vandals, Shanks, 2 Reaver Vandals (the tougher version of Vandals) and a mini-boss - Servitor-3. The last one behaves, and looks, just like a regular Servitor, but has more health. Start by climbing the stairs to the right of the hall's entrance and clear the floor of Vandals and Dregs. The terrace will ensure you with a good position to fight. Eliminate the marauders, one after another, take cover behind the wall and, as soon as everyone is dead, deal with the main opponent. He is quite tough which is why it is best to use special ability or the Heavy Weapon against him.

Your new objective is to protect the archives against the forces of The Fallen. The opponents enter through the entrances all around the hall, which is why it is best to stay close to the terminal, i.e. at the top of the stairs to the right of the computer. The enemies can access here only over these stairs, or over the plank connected to the terrace.

Take your position and start eliminating the approaching Dregs, Shanks and Vandals. After you defeat the first wave, lights go off and in the upper entrance, there appear Stealth Vandals and a Servitor. Eliminate them and head towards the electric box. Have Ghost fix it, turn by 180 degrees and climb the nearby stairs, onto the metal plank hanging under the ceiling. Eliminate the Shanks, Stealth Vandals and the other Servitor here, and fix the electric box. Return to your initial defense position, over the plank, and kill the Dregs climbing up the stairs. Then, jump down to the lower level to deal with the last wave of the opponents, including Dregs, Stealth Vandals, 2 Reaver Vandals and a mini-boss - Grayliks, Winter Baron. Eliminate the opponents, according to the hierarchy: first the weak Dregs, then the Stealth Vandals, Reaver Vandals, and finally the Grayliks, who is a bit tougher version of the Captain. If the situation is critical, return up the stairs, to the metal plank, and hide at the other end. The opponents should not follow you here and it will win you some time to regenerate your health and power.

As soon as the combat tune goes silent, return to the main terminal and have Ghost scan it. After a while, a countdown will start and the mission ends.

The main commander - Scourge of Winter - Venus - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe main commander

Your destination is the throne room somewhere in the central part of the ship. However, along your path, you will have to cut through several rooms occupied by the opponents. In the first one, you will run into a small group of Dregs, Shanks and Vandals. Kill them and head into the next room, which is much bigger. Start the battle by ensuring yourself with more freedom, by eliminating Dregs, Shanks and 2 Kell's Guard. Focus then on the boss himself. Draksis Has no special abilities of mechanics. His fighting pattern is identical with that of a regular Captain, but he has more health. Also, he can teleport over short distances, mainly to avoid damage. The important thing is that you keep a safe distance and, under no circumstances, attack the opponent with the melee weapon. Draksis can perform a shattering AoE attack that is capable of running your health down completely. For this reason, it is best to attack him at a long distance and take advantage of the nearby covers and platforms, which separate you from the boss.

After you defeat the enemy, this mission ends and you return to your ship, after a while.

Repel Cabal assault

The meeting with a new faction - Exclusion Zone - Mars - Main Story - Destiny - Game Guide and WalkthroughThe meeting with a new faction

The units of the Cabal that you see at the entrance are Legionary and Phalanx. The former are relatively tough and they use automatic rifles. The Phalanx play the role of "tanks", i.e. the units that take on the majority of damage. They have huge shields that cover them completely and short distance machine guns. Additionally, the majority of the Cabal units have jetpacks that allow them to take quite high jumps, around the battlefield. First, eliminate the Legionary and then, focus on the tougher Phalanx. You cannot wound them by firing at the shields, which is when aim at the hand or at the weapon that they stick out from behind the shield. The impact knocks them off balance, for a moment, which gets you time to fire at the head. After you defeat the first group, there appears an enemy ship here, which deploys another group with several Legionaries and a Centurion. The latter is the counterpart of the Captain from The Fallen. It attacks with explosive projectiles, has a regenerating shield and a bit more health.

When the ship flies away, resurface and start eliminating the new group of Legionary, Phalanx and a new unit - Psion. To some extent, they resemble Dregs of The Fallen and they are much less resistant to damage, than the other Cabal units. However, there are more agile and faster than the other and, apart from that, they have a special attack that fires a conical shockwave towards you. The range of this attack is short but, it deals quite a lot of damage. That is why it is best to deal with them at an appropriate distance.

Once you clear the area of the regular enemies, turn your attention to the current mission objective - Bracus Tho'ourg. It is a miniboss, has a grenade launcher of high firing rate a regenerating shield and quite a lot of health. However, he does not pose too much of a challenge and, after he dies, you receive the last mission objective. Jump onto the speeder and head towards the next location - the Valley of the Kings.

Then, activate the objects marked as the mission's objective and run towards the main gate. Destroy the small group of Harpies and Goblins, and watch the gate being opened. The battle consists of three fights with different bosses. Each one of them fights alone and the next one appears after you have destroyed the previous one. Before you start, however, clear the area of the Goblins around here. Only after you have destroyed all of them, the first boss will appear. The bosses' names are: Eschaton Mind, Imminent Mind and Primeval Mind, respectively. All of them are nearly identical and their only attack are the explosive projectiles that they fire at you. Also, they are reinforced by the respawning Vex units (Goblins, HobGoblins, Harpy and Minotaurs). Try to ignore them, though, and eliminate only the most dangerous ones. Apart from that, focus all your attention on the glowing cores of the bosses. Several bursts straight into the weak spots should do.
