How do you fix game crashes and freeze

Please be a bit more specific and add more information! Is the game screen pausing? Is it going black? Does it give you an error screen? Does it glitch up? Well, taking all of these into consideration, there are many reasons your system/computer could be freezing.

1. Clean you disk, use gentle strokes from the inside to the outside of the disk. Do NOT go in circles.
2. Make sure the disk is scratch-free. You can go to a movie store dealer, Gamestop, or Wal-Mart and they can fix up scratches for you.
3. Make sure the Laser-CD reader is clean and free of dust, though it is usually impossible to tell since it is hidden inside the wiring.
4. Make sure you are using only software and add-ons that are recommended for your system, usage of any illegal add-ons (i.e. a Gameshark) will increase, no, GUARANTEE a game crash.
5. Make sure there is no nearby electrical equipment as this will cause interference. Things to watch out for are microwaves, modems, computers and especially FANS.

If all else fails take it to a Best Buy/ask Nintendo support to see what is wrong with it.
