How do you get free platinum in pocket legends

Go to the platinum menu in-game and tap the "Earn Free Platinum" button. There you will find many apps you can install (and open) to get free platinum in game. Most of the free ones will give you 1P. The paid ones will give you anywhere between 1-7P.
