first you have to wait for a posting on the ms state board of personel website saying that the positions are opened. submit an application via internet. a min of 64 college hours or 5 yrs prior law enforcement is mandantory to even be considered. then a pt test along with a swim test is taken. then an interview. around 200 usually apply and only around 15 are accepted into the program. a 10 week police acad, then a 10 week game and fish school.
