What are legacy levels in sonic and the black knight

Legacy levels are levels designed to be like older Sonic 3-D games, like Sonic Heroes. Features only in these levels are floating robots that Sonic cannot kill with his sword, only by homing attack (however, Lancelot, Gawain, and Percival can), dash pads, and rings. These are also the only levels where you can get World Rings.
