The GBA slot is a nice little reward to the long-time fans. By using Leaf Green, Fire Red, Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald in this way, Nintendo is making the most of the pool of games in the past. The slot is also used to import Pokemon from the GBA generation into the Pal Park, but that’s another story for another guide. By putting in the GBA cart with Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, you will find a greater variety of Pokemon appearing. The town name that appears after the route means that you want to be the one side of the route close to that town. This guide will be updated with the U.S. release of Platinum.
